Lords of the Manor has been in Early Access and has been warmly received. The game's announcement trailer was posted on YouTube on July 4, 2020. The game offers visuals that impress many gamers, as well as realistic city-building and large-scale battles. Due to the wide range, complexity, and skill requirements of the game, it has attracted a lot of interest from players.
"Manor Lords" surpassed "Hades 2" and "Hollow Knight Silk Song" on the wishlist. Although some players were shocked by the huge demand for Manor Lords to appear so quickly with over 3 million wish lists, there seems to be a simple answer to its popularity. Manor Lords has a dedicated base of strategy and city-building gamers, offering this style of play along with grid placement, real-time strategy battles, and a robust city planning system. Lords of the Manor launched in Early Access on April 26 and started strongly. In the first 24 hours, its player count peaked at 159,701 and has since stabilized at around 90,000. Manor Lords surpassed Baldur's Gate 3, GTA 5 and Destiny 2 players on day one. Although some players considered the release date of Lords of the Manor to be out of place, it attracted a lot of attention.
In addition to Manor Lords' success on Steam, Microsoft has also added Manor Lords to PC Game Pass. The launch of Game Pass has given many players who already use the platform a chance to get a feel for the game before deciding whether or not to buy it, and the game will cost $29.99 less than the original from its release until May 10. Full price $39.99.
Developer Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse have stated that the game will likely remain in Early Access for about a year, subject to change based on feedback.
