and the publicity of the Civil Code in the 2023 academic year of Huazheng Affiliated School
In order to further help the construction of campus rule of law education, improve students' awareness of the law, law-abiding awareness and self-protection ability, and create a harmonious, healthy and civilized campus rule of law atmosphere, on April 22, Huazheng Affiliated School invited Chen Jie, director of the Guangfulin Judicial Institute, to give a special lecture on "Beautiful Youth, Rule of Law Escort", and carry out the publicity of the Civil Code in the 2023 academic year. All Year 7 students and homeroom teachers participated. The event was presided over by Sun Haoning, vice president of Huazheng Affiliated School.
Before the lecture began, Sun Haoning issued Chen Jie with the 2024 letter of appointment as vice president of the rule of law of Huazheng Affiliated School, and Chen Jie will assist the school in carrying out legal education, student protection, safety management, crime prevention, and governance according to law.
Chen Jie gave lectures to the seventh-grade students from three aspects: why to study law, what laws to study, and how to study law. Chen Jie pointed out that the law has the role of guidance, education, prediction, coercion and evaluation to protect every citizen. Regarding which laws to study, Chen Jie popularized legal knowledge to the students according to the social hot spots, and explained the boring legal provisions to the students in an interesting way from the campus chapter - campus bullying, life chapter - high-altitude throwing objects and not being responsible for righteousness and bravery, and the Internet chapter - telecommunications fraud. As for how to study law, students should establish faith and reverence for the rule of law, read law books, watch legal movies, participate in legal activities, and other ways to improve their legal literacy. At the end of the speech, Chen Jie wished every student a bright youth and a bright future.
Finally, Zhang Yuanqin, the principal of Huazheng Affiliated School, made accurate comments on this special lecture and put forward further requirements for every student present, in order to let the students know, understand, and abide by the law through such activities, and learn to use the law to protect themselves.
