From April 21, 2024, the fourth and fifth grade students of Junan County No. 3 Primary School started a spring study trip under the careful organization of the parent committee, and teachers also actively participated in the activities.
The activities are set up in the off-campus labor base Chaxichuan Valley Forest Camp. The study is divided into several theme activities, such as team building warm-up, "corn kingdom" exploration, spring ploughing small farmers, big iron pot picnic, and re-walking the Long March Road.
In the "Corn Kingdom", the children not only understood the "life of corn" and its functions, but also understood the importance of teamwork and the hardships of labor through corn stories, peeling corn kernels, stone grinding corn, steaming corn nests, making popcorn, making corn handicrafts, and working together to transport corn. Under the leadership of the group leader, the children worked together to pull vegetables, wash vegetables, cut vegetables, light fires, stir-fry vegetables, etc., and were very busy. The children changed into Red Army uniforms and Red Army hats, and one by one they became heroic "Little Red Army". Through watching videos, taking collective oaths and other links, the children learned about the relevant knowledge of the Long March, and then re-walked the Long March road: crawling forward--- flying to capture the Luding Bridge--- climbing snow-capped mountains--- crossing the grassland--- crossing the tightrope bridge...... "passing the difficult pass", the children traced the footprints of their ancestors, experienced the hard-won victory of the Long March, and further comprehended the "spirit of the Red Army" mentioned in the books.
