In the highland fortress area, the Ukrainian army actually "escaped", what is going on?

Recently, the central cluster of the Russian army stormed along the railway line, and suddenly attacked the commanding heights and transportation hub of the Ukrainian army in the entire theater of operations, and the town of Ochretine, which is also the fortress area, and occupied most of it, forming an extremely good combat situation.

How could the Russian army break through so quickly in Austria?

On the same day, the 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Army sent a message that because the friendly troops defending here abandoned their positions and fled, the brigade, which was supposed to be resting, had to urgently "put out fires".

And the unit mentioned here that was supposed to defend the town of Austria was the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Army.

This brigade may not be familiar to everyone, so let's say a few words.

In the highland fortress area, the Ukrainian army actually "escaped", what is going on?

The 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade is the first new regular unit to be formed a week after the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, and it was formed more than a month earlier than the 110th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, which has been stationed in Avadiivka for a long time, but similar to the 110th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the brigade has been stationed in Seversk for a long time.

After that, the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade was transferred to the Kupyansk direction on the Northern Front and fought for a long time with the Russian Western Cluster.

After the loss of Avadiivka, the battle losses on the Ukrainian side were huge, because the intensity of the battle on the northern front was low, and the Ukrainian army transferred the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade to the south to be responsible for the garrison of Ochrediene.

Although the 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Army accused the 115th Brigade of abandoning its position without authorization, and pointed out that the Russian army launched an attack while the Ukrainian army was rotating.

But in fact, the Russian army's attack along the railway line actually began as early as mid-April, and the Ukrainian army should be aware of this. And it is impossible to say that the entire line of defense is extremely empty, especially in the context of the continuous advance of the Russian army, and it can be ignored.

So some of the positions were actually defended by the 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, and there were many cases of its own troops fleeing from their positions. These situations were all confessed by the surrendered soldiers of the 47th Brigade, and the surrendered soldiers also mentioned that they were originally technical support units in the rear, and they were pulled to the front line as line-filling soldiers, and they only underwent a very short period of training, and they could not cope with the Russian firepower at all.

In addition, it was reported that not only the 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade were defending in the direction of Austria, but also the 425th Scala Assault Battalion and the Territorial Defense Battalion; in Nova Kalinov, east of Austria, there were defenders of the 23rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade; and that there might be some armored detachments of the 1st Tank Brigade throughout the theater of operations to provide support.

Among these troops, the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade is the only new force because it has just been reinforced.

However, the brigade is not only now entering the positions of Ochheredine, and the information about its appearance in the Avadiivka theater of operations has been confirmed at least when the Russian army is attacking to the northwest.

Because the intensity of the fighting on the northern front is surprisingly low, the western cluster of the Russian army cannot deal a major blow to the Ukrainian army in person, which makes the reinforcements from the northern front lack the preparation to fight against the "fierce" Russian army.

After all, when it came to fighting in Avadiivka, the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade faced the Central Cluster of the Russian Army and the 1st Army of Donetsk.

Moreover, the commander of the Central Cluster, Mordvichev, especially dared to smash troops in key directions at critical moments, and through the current battlefield information, the Russian 15th Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 30th Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 35th Motorized Infantry Brigade, and the 74th Motorized Infantry Brigade may have participated in the attack (not all of them participated in the battle as a whole formation), and the 27th Motorized Infantry Division expanded from the 21st Motorized Infantry Brigade also had troops participating in the battle.

The 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Army had a leisurely time on the northern front, and where had it ever seen such a formation? The pressure suddenly increased several times, and it obviously could not adapt to it.

(Note: The 67th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Army defeated and abandoned in the direction of Chasov Yar is also a reinforcement transferred from the Northern Front)

More than two months ago, even the famous 3rd Azov Brigade was beaten by the Russian army in a "360-degree fire" in the city, and the 115th Mechanized Infantry Brigade certainly couldn't withstand it.

Later, the 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade came to put out the fire, but it was obvious that the fire was not saved either; as for the independent battalion and the territorial defense battalion guarding the auxiliary positions, as soon as they saw that the main force could run, what else was there to defend?

The pattern of the Russian army's use of troops here is very similar to the bold investment of the central cluster during the siege of Avadiivka, when the Russian army quickly seized the city, and now there are similar signs in Ochredine. After the Russian army went straight in, the effect of flowering in the center was formed.
