At the 2024 Beijing Motor Show, FAW Audi brought this all-new Q6L e-tron, which is a domestically produced Q6L compared to the overseas version of the model The e-tron has been further enlarged, with a wheelbase of 105 mm lengthened to bring a more comfortable ride, a front face design and body color that are exclusive to the Chinese market, a battery pack that has increased by 7 kWh, and a pure electric range of 700 km, while the interior and intelligence will also be upgraded accordingly, and it is reported that the new car will be officially mass-produced at the new Audi FAW plant in the fourth quarter of this year, and deliveries will start in early 2025.
The Audi Q6L e-tron continues Audi's classic new energy product family design style, the front of the car adopts a hexagonal closed grille design, through a large area of black decoration, the grille is divided into upper and lower parts, improving the visual width of the front of the car, equipped with a split headlight group and a light-emitting four-ring LOGO, LED daytime running lights have a sharp shape, and the headlights are integrated with the middle grid, which is more integral.
The sides are designed with a two-section front and rear waistline, which, together with the raised fenders and recessed doors, brings a strong sense of power, and the black trim is added under the doors, and the window trim, roof racks, and exterior mirrors are all finished in black to enhance the sporty atmosphere.
Equipped with 21-inch six-spoke low-drag wheels, which have been aerodynamically optimized, the size of the middle hollow is small, because the brake discs are used less frequently, so only a small amount of cooling air is needed, and the wheels are made of silver brushed and gloss black with a contrasting color treatment that is very premium.

Known as the "lamp factory", Audi never disappoints when it comes to playing with lights, and the new car uses digital lighting technology to make the lighting of the Audi Q6L e-tron more vivid and intelligent than any other model before, equipped with second-generation digital OLED taillight technology, as well as active digital light signatures for headlights and taillights.
Five domain controllers are provided, one of which is embedded with a software module that enables dynamic digital light signatures. The new generation of digital daytime running lights at the front of the car features 70 transparent 3D effect LED light sources, including 61 individually controllable elements/light emitting units, and the dynamic digital light signature is formed by 12 light units with adjustable brightness through algorithms.
The second-generation digital OLED taillights have six OLED panels with a total of 360 light-emitting units, also through a specific algorithm that generates a new image every ten milliseconds.
The digital daytime running lights and second-generation digital OLED taillights are available in 8 digital light signatures that can be quickly and easily switched between them according to their needs in the vehicle menu.
Interestingly, the high-mounted brake light will project the light on the rear windshield when the brake is on, which is equivalent to adding another brake light to further remind the rear car to pay attention to safety.
In the past, Audi has been producing the "L" version of the model with an extended wheelbase for the Chinese market, from the A6L to the A4L, and then to the executive A8L, etc., the extended wheelbase has become an indispensable and important feature of the Chinese market, and the new Q6L e-tron is the same, the new car is positioned as a mid-size SUV, with a length, width and height of 4884*1965*1687 mm and a wheelbase of 2995 mm. Compared with the overseas version (4771 * 1993 * 1648 mm, wheelbase 2890 mm), the body length has increased by 113 mm, the width and height have not changed much, the wheelbase has been lengthened by 105 mm, basically the lengthened part is given to the wheelbase, which can also be verified from the side of the body, the rear door size of the new car is significantly larger, which is bound to bring a better and more comfortable riding space.
The interior of the locally-made Audi Q6L e-tron has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be similar to the overseas version, offering a curved dual screen, a passenger entertainment screen, and an AR-HUD head-up display.
In terms of power, the domestically produced Audi Q6L e-tron is available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with a maximum power of 255 kW for the single-motor rear-wheel drive version and a maximum power of 345 kW for the dual-motor four-wheel drive version.
The PPE platform is based on the 800V architecture, which integrates the advantages of the J1 high-performance platform and the MEB platform, and has unique features in the body structure, chassis layout, and battery management.
However, thanks to the extended wheelbase, the domestic Audi Q6L e-tron can be arranged with a larger capacity battery pack, although it is still composed of 12 modules and 192 prismatic cells, but the total capacity of the battery pack has increased to 107 kWh, which is 7 kWh more than the overseas version, and the pure electric range can reach 700 km under CLTC working conditions.
With support for 800-volt charging technology and a maximum DC charging power of 270 kW as standard, a 10-minute charge can add 260 km of range under the right conditions, and the battery charge (SoC) can be charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 25 minutes.
