According to Porsche, the all-electric 718 is on the horizon in the mid-20s, followed by the all-electric Cayenne and a sporty all-electric SUV positioned higher than the Cayenne. By 2030, Porsche aims to have 80 per cent of new car sales with all-electric models. Porsche announced prices for the all-new Macan 4 from CNY 728,000, the all-electric Macan Turbo from CNY 968,000 and the new Taycan 4 from CNY 1,038,000. Among them, the new Taycan 4 is the eighth Taycan derivative of Porsche launched in the Chinese market, and the details of the changes are worth playing.
The all-new all-electric Macan is based on the all-electric platform PPE and is equipped with a series of high-tech features such as Porsche Active Suspension Management with dual-valve technology, rear-axle steering, electronically controlled Porsche Traction Control and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.
The all-electric Macan 4 and Macan Turbo offer a maximum output of 300 kW and 470 kW respectively, as well as a maximum torque of 650 Nm and 1,130 Nm, from zero to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and 3.3 seconds respectively. The new model is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a maximum capacity of 100 kWh, which can achieve a range of up to 784 km (WLTP city mode) and can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes using 270 kW fast charging.
The new Taycan 4 is equipped with a 105 kWh high-performance battery with a 380 kWh output and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds. Thanks to upgraded pulse inverters and optimization software, an optimized thermal management system, a next-generation heat pump and improved energy recovery and all-wheel drive strategies, the new car has a range of 676 km in the CLTC combined mode.
The new Taycan 4 offers features such as adaptive air suspension, Porsche Sport Chrono Package, BOSE® surround sound system, electronic sports car sound, parking assist with surround view system, comfort entry system, 14-way power-adjustable seats, privacy glass, electric charging port cover, and other features that Chinese users love.
For the first time, the all-new all-electric Macan features an augmented reality-enabled head-up display system that is equivalent to an 87-inch display. The new Taycan can charge up to 320 kW and can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. In addition, for the first time, the all-electric Macan launched the "Porsche Charging Plan", which is deeply connected to AutoNavi Map.
The new Taycan's smart connectivity system adds a number of localized applications such as QQ Music to the previous model, and deeply integrates Apple CarPlay into the display and various functions. In addition, the Porsche Connect service offers 10 years of free access.
