Recently, under the guidance of the China Performance Industry Association and the Office of the Joint Conference on the Construction of the World of Performing Arts, the 3rd Yangtze River Delta City Drama Festival and the Summit Dialogue of the World of Performing Arts, initiated by Shanghai Huangpu Cultural Tourism Group and jointly organized by 11 performing arts groups and universities in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui was held in Shanghai, announcing many news of this year's Yangtze River Delta City Theater Festival.

According to reports, the 2024 Yangtze River Delta City Drama Festival will open a branch venue in Zhejiang for the first time to further strengthen cultural interaction between regions, so that each Yangtze River Delta city will become the "protagonist" of showing a distinctive personality. After the opening performance of the drama "Meng Xiaodong" produced by Shanghai Huangpu Cultural Tourism Group on the 23rd, it went to the Zhejiang branch venue, providing the audience with the opportunity to watch the performance across regions. Zhejiang Performing Arts Group has launched a week-long "Zhejiang Performing Arts Group Performance Week" for Shanghai audiences, focusing on the drama "Sifan Lu Xiaoman", the acrobatic "Colorful Baolian Lantern", and the dance drama "The Wind Rises Da Chen", showing the rich cultural and artistic outlook of Zhejiang.

At the same time, this year's Yangtze River Delta City Drama Festival brought together outstanding repertoire from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui. Under the careful creation of director Liu Yongzhen, the Yue Opera "Chasing Fish" brought by Ningbo Performing Arts Group shows the new style of Yue Opera with "both civil and military", and provides a fresh example for the innovative inheritance of traditional culture. The tin opera "Su Dongpo" brought by Jiangsu Performing Arts Group deeply depicts the mental journey and self-awakening of the literati Su Shi during the demotion to Huangzhou, and the national first-class director Han Jianying and the tin opera performance artist Zhou Dongliang gathered together and was highly praised by the audience and judges. The new version of the Lu opera "Liang Zhu" brought by Hefei Performing Arts Group skillfully integrates tradition and innovation, embodies the artistic characteristics of "the old and the new are inseparable", and realizes the artistic breakthrough of the ancient and modern symphony by absorbing the singing of the middle road Lu opera and the West Lu opera. The musical "One Day" brought by Anhui Performing Arts Group shows the story of the party's early intelligence workers who used their bravery and wisdom to save the overall situation under the White Terror. The drama "Sifan Lu Xiaoman" brought by Zhejiang Performing Arts Group skillfully integrates traditional Chinese aesthetics, and explores the conflict between individual freedom and social constraints in a simple and poetic way. The concert "Beautiful Scenery" brought by Nanjing Performing Arts Group integrates cultural ancient rhyme and national music, and plays a feast of national tide folk music. The magic spy war drama "Miss Mingjia" brought by Hangzhou Performing Arts Group shows the profound significance of history to the audience through creative characters.
