Colombo, April 25 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a hotel in Patna, the capital of the Indian state of Bihar, on April 25, killing at least six people and injuring more than 30.
According to Indian media reports, the fire may have been caused by the explosion of a liquefied gas tank in the hotel kitchen. The fire is now under control and the fire department has rescued at least 40 people from the burning building.
The Chinese Consulate General in Kolkata told Xinhua that there have been no reports of casualties among Chinese citizens in the fire.
