2024 China-Europe International Art Exchange Exhibition of Famous Calligraphers and Painters - Zhao Xianwen
Zhao Xianwen, born in 1949, bachelor's degree, national first-class artist, military calligrapher and painter, joined the army in 1968 to work in the air force and is now retired. Since childhood, he likes the art of calligraphy and painting, and is good at flowers, birds, figures, and landscapes. His paintings are cleverly conceived, atmospheric, lifelike, flexible and vivid.
His works have been selected for many domestic and foreign painting exhibitions, and peony has been presented as a gift to Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand and other places for collection.
In 2016, Zhao Xianwen was awarded the honorary title of "China's Proud Influential Calligrapher and Painter" by the Organizing Committee of China Times Influence Activities, and in 2018, Zhao Xianwen was awarded the "Most Collectible Artist"
In 2019, he won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the "Gift to the 70th Birthday of the Republic" National Staff Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition Activity, and was hired as a national staff artist training expert by the China Staff Electronic Education Center.
On September 27, 2020, he participated in the "National Day of Welcoming the Centenary of the Founding of the Party and Celebrating the Victory of the Anti-epidemic - National Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Exhibition of 100 Generals and 100 Famous Artists".
In October 2020, he won the gold medal in the second national "Mrs. Wei Cup" calligraphy and painting competition, and was awarded the honorary title of "New Artist".
In 2021, he was awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist" by Deyi Shuangxin.
In February 2022, he was awarded the honorary title of "20022 China Winter Olympics Art Ambassador" by the Meritorious Artist Judging Committee and the China Ink News Review. In April 2022, he was hired as a director of the Chinese Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, and in June 2023, he was appointed as a love ambassador of CCTV.
