Designer Finn Berg unveils his first superyacht concept, the "ECO-X", a 63.3-metre-long explorer yacht that is undoubtedly a bold innovation in ocean exploration.
The "ECO-X" features an underwater observation module similar in style to the 83.5-meter "Savannah" of Fertistar and the 74.5-meter "Elandess" of Abeking & Rasmussen. The concept yacht also has a retractable viewing elevator that extends above the hard top, a feature that has never been seen on a yacht before, and undoubtedly adds even more surprises to the yachting experience.
Finn Berg added: "'ECO-X' is not only designed for leisure, but also for scientific research. His words reveal a deep emotion and anticipation for this yacht. This yacht is undoubtedly an explorer's dream, with its near-vertical bow, masculine lines and sheltered foredeck.
With a gross tonnage of 1250GT, the boat can accommodate up to 12 guests, 14 crew members and 4 scientists. Japanese elements are subtly incorporated into the interior design, which complement the freestanding furniture and sofa seating to create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Slats, LED-lit ceilings, skylights, and lots of greenery create a vibrant living space.
On the main deck there is a small laboratory, while two seagull wing doors lead to two 9-metre supply boats, motorboats and a rescue boat. Even more impressive, the renderings also show a ready-to-park helipad, a circular swimming pool on the aft deck, and a sundeck. On the sun deck, comfortable loungers, sofa seats and a wide fixed sunpad at the bow make you feel like you're in the middle of the blue ocean.
The superyacht, described as "future-proof", will be equipped with a drivetrain powered by methanol fuel cells. This eco-friendly design not only reflects a deep insight into the future, but also demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental protection. This "ECO-X" is undoubtedly a new chapter in the future of ocean exploration, and let us all look forward to its brilliant voyage on the sea.
