According to the content released by the research agency, in the market share ranking of the first quarter of 2024, which everyone is most concerned about, Honor ranks first with a market share of 17.1%, and is steadily improving, with a year-on-year increase of 13.2% compared with the first quarter of 2023. However, in comparison, the most ferocious rise is undoubtedly Huawei, which has revitalized Kirin processors, with a year-on-year increase of 110% and a market share of 17%, which is very small compared to the top of the list.
OPPO, Apple, and vivo are in the third to fifth place, with market shares of 15.7%/15.6% and 14.6% respectively, which shows that the gap between the top two is very small, but the market share of the above three mobile phone manufacturers has declined to varying degrees year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that since IDC's survey report only provides the market share of the top five manufacturers, Xiaomi, which ranked sixth, finally fell off the list and belonged to "other", but considering the positive growth of 4.8% in other categories, Xiaomi's domestic market share in the first quarter of 2024 is expected to be not much different from vivo, which is the fifth.
According to the research report on the high-end market segment of folding screens, the shipments of the Chinese market in the first quarter of 2024 will increase to 1.86 million units, a significant increase of 83% compared with the first quarter of 2023, continuing the popular momentum of folding screen phones in recent years. In terms of the proportion of specific manufacturers, Huawei ranks first with a large lead of 44.1%, Honor ranks second with 26.7%, and vivo, OPPO, and Samsung are three to five respectively. Considering that the overall momentum of the smartphone market has bottomed out this year, and the "arms race" of major mobile phone manufacturers has further escalated, there will still be a lot of room for change in the ranking of the list in the future.
