It is reported that on the same day, the emergency department of Jiangxi Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital received a penetrating placenta accreta grade IV, central placenta previa, severe postpartum blood loss, hemorrhagic shock, bladder rupture, multiple cesarean sections, and the condition was dangerous and required a large number of blood transfusions for rescue.
After receiving the call, the Jiangxi Provincial Blood Center immediately opened the green channel for maternal blood and entered the state of emergency blood preparation, so as to ensure the emergency blood in a timely and sufficient manner. Within 24 hours, the four batches of life-saving blood applied by the hospital were successfully sent, and 6,000 ml of type A red blood cells, 3,400 ml of plasma, 1 therapeutic amount of platelets apheresis, and 30 units of cryoprecipitate were urgently supplied.
According to He Huaqing, deputy chief technician of the blood supply service department of Jiangxi Provincial Blood Center, the current blood inventory is relatively tight.
During the rescue process, exploration found that the placenta was widely implanted in the anterior wall, penetrating the uterus to the muscular layer of the posterior wall of the bladder, to the rupture of the bladder, penetrating the broad ligament to the right, and implanting downward into the cervix. Due to excessive blood loss during the operation, the woman suffered multiple hemorrhagic shocks, with a minimum blood pressure of 78/50mmHg and a heart rate of 140 beats/minute. After multidisciplinary joint treatment such as obstetrics, central operating room, anesthesiology, MICU, oncology, blood transfusion and other departments, this "bloody and thrilling" cesarean section was successfully completed, and the mother and baby were safe. At present, the mother's vital signs are stable and she was admitted to the MICU for follow-up treatment.
According to statistics, the total amount of blood transfusion during the treatment of the mother before and after the treatment reached 12,200 ml (including 2,800 ml of intraoperative autologous reinfusion), and according to the calculation of 200 ml of blood donated per person, the blood of 61 caring people was collected in the mother's body. If behind every bag of blood is a blood donation hero, then this is a "life booster race" in which dozens of people participate in the "race" against death.
