Guided tours of the tracks

In this concert, we will listen to the "First Symphony" of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.

All three of them were outstanding representatives of the classical music school of the 18th century and are considered representatives of classicism. Because of their outstanding contributions to the symphony, they are known as the "Three Classical Masterpieces". These three bigwigs can be said to have established the classic model of classical music in later generations.

They must listen to their music more often! If you're in a good mood, Mozart, if you're in a bad mood, Beethoven, if you're in a bad mood, isn't it bad...... Haydn's work has always been synonymous with positivity and warmth!

Haydn – the father of the symphony

Haydn was the founder of the Viennese Classical School. His musical style is characterized by elegance, sophistication and delicacy. His compositions are full of rich melodic lines and ornate ornamentation, showing his superb creative skills. In Symphony No. 1 in D major, Haydn uses rich harmonies, beautiful melodies and delicate rhythms to create a relaxed and cheerful musical atmosphere that expresses his love of life and awe of nature.

See you tomorrow!

Salieri – Beethoven's teacher

Salieri served in four Habsburg dynasties and was in charge of all the important musical affairs of Vienna. He was also a successful teacher, and his students were Beethoven, Schubert, Liszt, etc. I don't know when it began, but a rumor gradually circulated that Mozart was poisoned by him. The legend was passed down by word of mouth, Pushkin wrote a poetic drama based on it, and Rimsky-Kosakov wrote an opera based on the plot of the poem.

The sheet music version of Salieri's "Festival" Symphony, provided by Vienna conductor Wang Jin, is the premiere of this version in China. Well worth looking forward to!

See you tomorrow!

Mozart – musical prodigy

Mozart's Symphony No. 1 in E flat major was composed in 1764-1765 during his stay in London, when Mozart was not yet 9 years old. This symphony is clearly influenced by J. C. Influence of Bach's "Urgent-Slow-Urgent" three-movement form. This work is a bit immature, but for an 8-year-old creator, can you ask for more? This work is considered Mozart's first cry in the field of symphonic composition.

See you tomorrow!

Beethoven - Le Sheng

Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major is full of tones peculiar to Haydn and Mozart's generation, and in many ways inherits the tradition of Haydn's symphonies. This is a poem in which young people smile at their dreams. It is cheerful and lazy, and people can feel the hope and desire for happiness in it.

A Letter to Wuxi Music Fans (1)

Dear Wuxi music fans,

On April 27, 2024, I will be honored to conduct the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra and present you with "The Famous Symphonies in History You Can't Miss" – From Haydn, Salieri, Mozart to Beethoven!

Excerpt from Haydn's Symphony No. 1 in D major

See you tomorrow!

If you know what the conductor thinks about these works, you will not only know about these works, but you will also know more about how the conductor understands and interprets these works, you will have more understanding and feeling about the concert, and you will leave the comfort of the sofa and home audio equipment and come to the concert hall to enjoy the real concert.

If you can get some interesting information about the composer and the works from the conductors, and it will be easier for you to understand and like them, then this concert will have a special value: in this concert you will not only hear the well-known symphonies of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, but you will also hear the symphonies of Salieri, which few people have heard. More importantly, you can hear from the young, professional and international Wuxi Symphony Orchestra and a conductor from Vienna to understand and interpret the works of these famous artists from a new perspective in a concert. This concert will bring a completely different experience and experience to everyone who participates! We will open a new door to the world of music for you and your family!

In this concert, we have chosen a very special repertoire! These repertoire show a wonderful moment, a moment that should be remembered in the development of human history, a moment that deserves to be remembered in the development of human culture and art, and this great moment is the emergence and beginning of the classical symphony! In this concert, you will have a lot of very peculiar experiences.

Imagine if we were witnessing a special moment in our evolutionary process with Darwin – the hatching of a new type of dinosaur from an egg!

Imagine if you were a friend of Mozart's father and watched Mozart, who was only 8 years old, try his hand at composing his first symphony!

Imagine that you are a friend of Duke Esthersee, invited to a special concert, and the great composer Mr. Haydn, who is just a young composer who has just become a little famous, is leading the orchestra in a rather peculiar new work!

Imagine that you and the kings and nobles of Austria have come to attend an important name day, and in the concert after the dinner, you hear the new symphony "Il Giorno", composed especially for the occasion by the famous violinist, pianist and composer Salieri, the great court musician!

In this concert, we can once again feel the deep feelings of the great composers who changed the course of human civilization when they first began to try to create in a new musical language.

See you tomorrow!

When Mozart was a young boy, when Haydn was a very young composer, when Beethoven had not really found his creative direction, when these great, god-like composers were still a young man, their compositions may not be so perfect and far from reaching the level of their later compositions, but in these musical works, we can already experience that special, beautiful, peculiar, The power of love of the god of music, which has had a huge impact on the later development of music, has brought us great inspiration.

See you tomorrow!

On April 27th, we sincerely invite you to come to the scene to experience and witness this special historical moment! It is like the evolution of species in nature: the first time you see that little dinosaur, that beautiful butterfly......

A Letter to Wuxi Music Fans (2)

Dear Wuxi music fans,

On April 27, 2024, "You can't miss the famous symphonies in history" – from Haydn, Salieri, Mozart to Beethoven!

Excerpt from Salieri's "Symphony of the Festivals".

First of all, the real special artistic value of this concert is that both the orchestra and the audience can truly understand and feel the difference between the Baroque and classical music styles, as well as the transformation of the symphony from the Baroque music style to classical music!

From the external symphonic form to the inner musical character and expression, this different style and process of change is very clear. In this concert, the symphonies of Mozart and Haydn are only three movements!

If we look at these symphonies through the eyes of an archaeologist, it is as if we have discovered a dinosaur in the process of evolution, a special skeletal specimen that has been rediscovered, and an "intermediate link" that can be proven in the process of evolution! This is also a very special event in the history of music!

Secondly, this concert offers a very special opportunity: to perform four different symphonies in the same concert! four early works by great composers and symphonic works by Salieri that are not usually given the opportunity to hear!

Listeners can see, feel, and compare the wonderful world in classical symphony. There are many different styles in this world, including the styles of the times and the changes in style: from Baroque to Classical. From Mozart as a child to young Haydn and Beethoven!

Especially after so many years of misinformation and widespread misunderstanding, we finally have the opportunity today to give the great Antonio Salieri a chance to clear his name!

See you tomorrow!

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time in Chinese history that Salieri's symphony has been performed! At least the first time this symphony has been performed: "Il Giorno...." / "Festival"

See you tomorrow!

Because the score of this symphony has never been officially published! All we can find is an incomplete manuscript! The version we are going to perform in this concert is a re-edited and revised version based on his manuscript as an expression of my admiration and admiration for him! As my gratitude to the great teachers like him!

Because he was once Beethoven's teacher, once Czerny's teacher, once Schubert's teacher, and even the great Liszt went to Vienna to study with him. His contribution to the development of classical music is truly great! It is also my tribute to all the great artists who have been misunderstood, slandered and damaged like him! I also hope to awaken people to rethink, re-understand and respect great artists like him!

In the course of this concert, I will take a closer look at the special features of each composer and their early symphonies! I hope you will enjoy this special concert, I hope everyone will get something out of it, and I hope we can all feel and experience the spiritual power of the great music works of hundreds of years ago again!
