At the age of 31, I chose to live alone, a 45-square-meter space may seem a little cramped for many, but for me, it is not only a safe haven, but also a paradise for self-exploration and growth. Lately, the pressures of life and work have become extremely heavy, and every breath feels like fighting against an invisible burden, and I need to hold on to that sense of control as if it is my only weapon against stress.
The arrival of the weekend always gives me a little respite. On this rare day off, I decided to heal my tense soul with an encounter with spring. I brought home a dazzling array of flowers in the market, whether they were fresh cut flowers with dewdrops or colorful and lifelike artificial flowers. They are quietly placed in the corners, tabletops, and windowsills, each exuding a unique spring atmosphere, as if silently telling the joy of life.
The plants that slept in the winter used to disappoint me to think that their vitality had faded. However, just as I was about to give up, they surprised me – tiny, tough shoots stubbornly burrowing out of the dirt, as if to tell me, "Look, even in the toughest circumstances, there is the power of hope." "This most primitive energy, warm and powerful, taught me perseverance and patience, and made me realize that no matter how noisy the outside world is, inner peace and steadfastness are the most important.
In this small universe that I take care of by myself, every detail reveals my personality and attitude. Living alone doesn't mean being lonely, it gives me more freedom and space to experience the beauty of life. Just like these flowers and plants, they don't need too many words, they just exist quietly, and they can bring infinite color and vitality to my life.
So, even though the outside world is still busy, I can still find my own rhythm in my little world and enjoy this simple and pure happiness. Because I know that as long as there is love in our hearts and the pursuit of beautiful things, whether it is a person or a small shoot, we can bloom our own brilliance in this world.
