On April 25, at the 18th Beijing International Auto Show, FAW-Volkswagen's all-new Magotan made its debut.
The exterior of the new car uses a new design, the interior is equipped with a triple screen equipped with an 8155 chip, a pocket gear shift mechanism is adopted, and DJI's intelligent driving solution is used for intelligent driving, and the entry power is upgraded to a 1.5T engine.
In terms of appearance, the new car has a new design. The front face is more flattened, the headlight group is connected to the middle grid, and with the same brand LOGO of the ID series that will shine, the entire front face will look wider, more technological, and a little more sporty car feeling.

The side and tail of the car, the changes are mainly concentrated in the following two points, one is the body is more slender and atmospheric, the length, width and height are rising, rising to 4990/1854/1487mm (the current length, width and height: 4866/1832/1479mm), and the wheelbase remains 2871mm.
The second change is that the taillights are designed through the headlights, and the Volkswagen logo in the middle will also glow, echoing the front face.
Inside, it is an intelligent cockpit design similar to that of the Volkswagen ID series trams, equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15-inch center control screen, and an 11.6-inch passenger screen.
The in-vehicle system uses the Qualcomm 8155 chip, equipped with Huawei's 5G communication module that can improve active safety and Internet of Vehicles applications, and the iFLYTEK voice solution with AI attributes, which supports the main and co-driver to wake up the sound area, and have a continuous dialogue within 20 seconds without repeated wake-up.

In terms of creating a sense of grade, in addition to adjusting the gear shift mechanism to the pocket gear, the seats also use suede seats, which are supplemented by diamond-shaped checks and red leather stitching for embellishment, and there are also leg rests, seat ventilation and heating and other functions, bringing more luxury and sportiness to the vehicle.
In terms of intelligent driving, the new car is equipped with IQ. Pilot intelligent driving assistance system, which was developed for China's road conditions, uses DJI's pure visual intelligent driving solution (note: the intelligent driving of Tesla Model 3 and other cars is also a pure visual solution).
The driver assistance system has functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, lever lane change, emergency congestion response, lane avoidance, traffic sign recognition, and special object recognition. It can achieve L2+ intelligent driving up to 130km/h, automatically handle emergency congestion in congested road conditions with a range of 1.5m+ to avoid risks, and realize lane change assistance with a range of 30-130km/h, and the key DJI binocular camera can identify China's special obstacles and special traffic signs to adapt to China's road conditions.
In terms of power, Magotan continues to offer two displacement engines, of which the entry-level model will be upgraded from a 1.4TSI to a 1.5TSI Evo engine, corresponding to a 300TSI power plate, which can provide a maximum power of 118kW (160Ps) and a maximum torque of 250Nm, mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
The high-end model continues to be equipped with the EA888 model 2.0TSI engine high-power version, corresponding to the 380TSI power plate, providing a maximum power of 162kW (220Ps) and a maximum torque of 350Nm, mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. It should be noted that the 2.0T low power, that is, the 330TSI version, did not appear in this appearance.
The design has a new look, the interior is 8155 with 3 screens, the intelligent driving uses the DJI intelligent driving solution, and the entry power is upgraded to 1.5T. However, at the moment when domestic new energy has set off a new round of price war, the new Magotan wants to maintain its market appeal at the current level, and the price may have to be a little more forceful.
