About the Artist
Yu Xiangzhen, pen name Yu Zizhi, a native of Yushan, a native of Tianfushan, Weihai, Shandong. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Gongbi Painting Society, a member of the Chinese Women Painters Association, a member of the Chinese National Painters Association, a member of the Shandong Comic Association, a member of the presidium of the Weihai Economic Development Zone Artists Association, and the principal of Shandong Weihai Hongcai Art School. Yu Xiangzhen has been teaching Chinese painting for nearly 40 years, and his works have won many awards in national art competitions and have been collected by international friends.
From 2005 to 2007, he studied at the Department of Chinese Painting of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, in 2012 at the Communication University of China Cheng Dali Landscape Painting Studio Advanced Research Class, in 2013 at Peking University Fine Arts Major (Chinese Painting Direction) Postgraduate Course, and in 2023 at the Open University of China Wu Yueshi Flower and Bird Advanced Research Class. He has studied under Cheng Dali, Wu Yueshi, He Jiaying, He Jialin, Huo Chunyang, Lv Yunsuo and other teachers.
