The May Day holiday is approaching. A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily learned from the Municipal Park Management Center that during the long holiday, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, Beihai and other municipal parks and the Chinese Garden Museum will launch 30 cultural activities in the garden, including landscape check-in, special exhibitions, research experience, cultural and creative markets, etc., to create a "flower appreciation, exhibition, red, experience, science popular" in one of the Beijing holiday park brand.
Right now, in late spring, the city's parks are full of greenery and color. In addition to outdoor flowers, there will also be a lecture hall for the symbiosis of all things, experts will take you to recognize flowers and plants, and the second "Plant This Spring" Spring Cultural and Creative Market and other all-round garden activities. At the same time, with the arrival of May, more than 6,000 plants and nearly 400 square meters of buttercups in Xiangshan Park are colorful and present a unique splendid scenery; peonies in the late flowering period on both sides of Shouhuangdian Square in Jingshan Park have entered the flowering period; white flowers such as Tianmu Qionghua, tassels, gold and silver wood, and lily of the valley orchids in the Summer Palace have bloomed one after another; nearly 100 potted vines along the east gate to the north gate of Taoranting Park have taken the lead in emerging this month; and traditional orchid exhibitions can be explored in Zhongshan Park, including Phalaenopsis, Wenxin orchid, dendrobium orchid, Baolian lantern and other fine flower displays.
During the "May Day" holiday, there will be a number of park cultural exhibitions, including the National Botanical Garden's second anniversary achievement exhibition, Zhongshan Park Spring Flower Masters Calligraphy and Painting Invitational Exhibition, Jingshan Park Forbidden Peak, Spring Full of Qiankun Chinese Painting Exhibition, Taoranting Park Hancai Wenhua Chinese Painting Exhibition, Yuyuantan Park Cherry Blossom Season 35th Anniversary Retrospective Exhibition, etc. It is worth mentioning that on May 1, the Temple of Heaven Park will present a marching performance of the ancient song "Nine Dragons", with a total of two performances in the morning and afternoon, which will be the first choreographed appearance.
A reporter from Beiqing Daily learned from the Beijing Park Management Center that during the holiday, the Summer Palace will launch a series of activities of "spreading the culture of farming and weaving, flashing the light of labor" and "paying tribute to ingenuity and exploring the wisdom of ancient craftsmen" in the cultivation and weaving map and Nanhu Island Scenic Area, leading tourists to learn the traditional culture in farming and understand and experience the exquisite skills and wisdom of ancient craftsmen. Beijing Zoo specially offers students a research course on ecological environment and animal behavior, relying on the unique animal resources in the park and the exhibition resources of the science museum, to guide students to explore the natural behavior of animals.
At the same time, the patriotic education base of the municipal park continues to provide rich red activities for citizens and tourists who come to visit. Xiangshan Park launched a series of activities of "Labor Education Month" with the theme of "Cultivating the Heart with Labor, Empowering Growth, and Standing Guard for the Revolutionary Site", including planting practice, volunteer service at the old revolutionary site, research and study tours, flag-raising ceremonies, and telling red stories. Taoranting Park continues to carry out a series of activities of "Zheng Zheng Student Tao Ranxing" red real-life classroom. The Summer Palace and Zhongshan Park will also provide red story interpretation services for citizens and tourists.
May 5 will usher in the "Beginning of Summer" solar term, marking the beginning of summer. The city-owned park is rich in animal and plant species, and the ecological environment provides an excellent place for tourists to observe nature. Xiangshan and other city-owned parks will also integrate garden culture and solar term experience, leading visitors to wander the park to welcome the arrival of early summer. At the beginning of the holiday, the Summer Palace will hold a cultural experience activity of "Fighting Eggs in Summer, Fighting Eggs in Summer". Zizhuyuan Park will lead citizens and tourists to experience the carving of rubber stamps. Xiangshan Park will also bring intangible cultural heritage "paint bleaching fan" experience, art painting, and incense culture experience to citizens and tourists. The China Garden Museum will hold garden plant pinching, architectural painting and patchwork experience activities, as well as the popular science drama "Garden Adventure".
In order to welcome the "May Day" holiday, the Municipal Park Management Center has recently carried out the risk research and judgment of large passenger flow and the investigation and management of potential safety hazards in the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven Park, Beihai Park, etc., to ensure fire safety and the safe operation of amusement equipment and facilities. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Park Management Center said that this year's "May Day" park peak is expected to appear in the middle of the holiday, that is, from May 2 to 4. The Municipal Park Management Center advocates that citizens and tourists travel in a staggered peak during the festival and enjoy civilized scenery.
