Overview of the event
On the morning of April 22, the launching ceremony of the 2024 Intellectual Property Publicity Week of Qichun County and the Pilot School Project of Intellectual Property Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in Hubei Province with the theme of "Intellectual Property Transformation and Application to Promote High-quality Development" was held in the No. 3 Experimental Middle School of the county.
The event was hosted by the County Intellectual Property Joint Conference Office, and co-organized by the Propaganda Department of the County Party Committee (Press and Publication Bureau), the County Public Security Bureau, the County People's Court, the County People's Procuratorate, the County Education Bureau, the County Science, Technology and Economic Information Bureau, the County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, the County Market Supervision Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), and the County Forestry Bureau.
More than 2,000 people attended the launching ceremony, including the leaders of the key member units of the county intellectual property joint conference, the Hubei Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Workstation (County Qi Ai Industry Association), the heads of the county Bank of China Fudeng Village Bank, and all the teachers, students and employees of the county No. 3 Experimental Middle School. Zhou Sheng, deputy director of the Office of the County Intellectual Property Joint Conference, member of the Party Group and deputy director of the County Market Supervision Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), presided over the launching ceremony.
At the launching ceremony, the comrades in charge of the county education bureau delivered a speech for the event. He expressed the hope that through this activity, the whole society can pay attention to intellectual property education, form a good situation in which everyone cares about intellectual property education and everyone participates in intellectual property education, and helps the high-quality development of intellectual property work in the county. Wu Zhiyong, principal of the county's No. 3 Experimental Middle School, gave a detailed introduction to the construction of the pilot school around the three aspects of "why, what was done, and the next step", and unveiled the secrets behind the county's only provincial-level primary and secondary school intellectual property education pilot school.
Chen Long, Director of the Office of the County Intellectual Property Joint Conference, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the County Market Supervision Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He pointed out that in recent years, the county has deeply implemented the intellectual property strategy, established the intellectual property joint conference system, issued intellectual property related policy documents, and done a lot of fruitful work in the creation, application, transformation and protection of intellectual property rights, so that the county's intellectual property cause has made great progress. In 2023, the county will complete 674 patent authorizations, including 27 invention patents, 1,410 new registered trademarks, and a total of 14,570 valid registered trademarks. At present, the county has 7 products protected by geographical indications, 93 enterprises using special geographical indications, 2 well-known trademarks, 4 advantageous trademarks, 2 geographical indication certification trademarks and 1 collective trademark. In the third-party evaluation of the province's optimized business environment, the county's intellectual property creation, application and protection indicators ranked first in the city for three consecutive years, ranking in the forefront of the province. In the next step, we will continue to focus on improving the quality of intellectual property creation, strengthening the construction of a strong brand, strengthening the administrative protection of intellectual property rights, and creating a strong intellectual property cultural atmosphere, and constantly improve the county's intellectual property co-governance, co-construction and sharing work pattern.

During the publicity week, the key member units of the Qichun County Intellectual Property Joint Conference will work together to carry out a series of themed publicity activities with rich content and various forms, vigorously disseminate the concept of intellectual property culture, enhance the awareness of the whole society to respect and protect intellectual property rights, and promote the transformation and application of intellectual property rights. The No. 3 Experimental Middle School of the county will also organize activities such as physics inventions, small creations and intellectual property blackboard newspapers, intellectual property theme class meetings, and the "Bank of China Fullerton" Cup Intellectual Property Essay Competition, so as to further strengthen the atmosphere of the publicity week and contribute more to the pilot schools based on the new development stage, implement the new development concept, build a new development pattern, and promote the high-quality development of the county.
