In April, when spring is in full swing, the winter potatoes of the Tiesuo Village Committee of Dianwei Township are harvesting and going on the market. To celebrate the harvest, the village held its annual "Artichoke Feast" on April 23. On the day of the event, the villagers started to get busy early in the morning, preparing a variety of artichoke delicacies together.
On the "Artichoke Banquet", there are not only traditional local specialties such as roast duck with potatoes and shredded potatoes with sour and hot potatoes, but also various innovative dishes such as mushroom potatoes and chrysanthemum potatoes.
The "Artichoke Banquet" also invited cooking teachers from Honghe Prefecture Technician College to guide and teach various cooking techniques to the villagers.
On the same day, the "Science and Technology Empowerment to Help Farmers Increase Income" Dianwei Township Characteristic Potato Tasting Meeting and the Jianshui County CPPCC Specially Invited Artists to Send Culture to the Countryside were also held at the same time. The guests at the scene feasted their eyes at the same time, enjoying the double feast of food and culture.
The winter potato planting in Tiesuo Village has a history of more than 40 years, due to the unique geographical environment and climatic conditions of the local area, the potatoes grown here are particularly fragrant and sweet, rich in nutrition, not only become an indispensable ingredient on the table of the villagers, but also deeply loved by foreign merchants and consumers. In the future, Dianwei Township will continue to establish a traditional and modern agricultural demonstration area through cultural activities and industrial promotion, setting a new benchmark for regional agricultural development.
