From May 16th to 19th, the Olympic Qualification Series for breakdancing, skateboarding, BMX freestyle and rock climbing will be held at the Huangpu Riverside in Shanghai, where break dancers from all over the world will set off a wave of breaking frenzy.
Recently, sponsored by the Huangpu District Education Bureau, the Huangpu District Sports Bureau, and the Shanghai Dance Sport Association, the "Sports is Burning, Breaking on Campus Tour" activity entered the No. 3 Primary School of Fuxing East Road in Huangpu District.
At the event, Mr. Guo, the gold medal coach, gave a detailed introduction to the breaking project for the teachers and students present. Through the "Good Homework in Physical Education" program, the school has set up a break dance practice class, which is enthusiastically sought after by students.
After awarding medals to the "Breaking Baby" selected by all grades of the school, the young athletes of the Huangpu District Breaking Team brought a wonderful breaking performance, with youthful and agile dancing posture and vigorous rhythm, all showing their love for life and respect for the Olympic spirit.
The highest decibel level was the "Fighting Dance" performance of the two teams - the players of the Perak Team and the Dancing God Team were full of firepower, skillful movements, full of strength and skill, and the scene was full of cheers. In the end, the judges of the third year selected the winning team according to the rules. Subsequently, under the leadership of professional dancers and teachers, all the students at the scene danced to the rhythm of the music and felt the rhythm and passion of the Olympic Games.
BREAKING ORIGINATED IN THE UNITED STATES IN THE 70S OF THE LAST CENTURY, EVOLVED FROM DIFFERENT DANCES AND ART FORMS, EXISTED IN PARTY CLUBS AND STREET COMMUNITIES, AND INFLUENCED THE YOUTH OF THE TIME. In 2020, the IOC Executive Board agreed to add four new sports to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: breakdancing, skateboarding, rock climbing and surfing. Among them, skateboarding, rock climbing, and surfing have been officially sports in the Tokyo Olympics, and break dancing is the first time to enter the Olympic family.
