According to the data, China's smartphone sales in the first quarter were about 69 million units, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year and 4.6% month-on-month, which means that China's smartphones are slowly recovering growth.
From the perspective of major brands, it is mixed, with three rising and three falling among the top 6 major brands.
AS SHOWN IN THE CHART ABOVE, VIVO SLIPPED 0.4%, BUT STILL RANKED FIRST WITH A SHARE OF 17.4%. Honor grew by 11.5% and had a share of 16.1%, ranking second.
Apple fell 19.1 percent to 15.7 percent in third place. Huawei, on the other hand, grew by 69.7% and had a share of 15.5%, ranking fourth. Then OPPO fell 15.5%, and Xiaomi grew 8.6%.
Obviously, Huawei's growth is the best, reaching 69.7%, why is it growing so strongly, of course, it is that last year's Mate60 is too powerful, it has been in short supply, and the current supply has only eased, so sales have increased significantly.
However, although Huawei increased by 70%, its sales volume is still in fourth place, because last year's base was too low, and Huawei's share in the first quarter of last year was 9.3%, with sales of about 6.3 million units. After an increase of 70% in the first quarter of this year, it is still only about 10.7 million units, which is still not particularly high.
What's more, Huawei's really sought-after mobile phone is only Mate60, and other mobile phones are relatively not so popular, so the total sales are still not so high.
However, it is predicted that in the second quarter of 2024, Huawei's sales will explode again, because in the second quarter, not only the Mate60 series mobile phones, but also the latest Pura 70 series mobile phones.
Pura70 series mobile phones, using a new Kirin chip, a new ID design, quite recognizable, and other functions are also fully upgraded, which will naturally bring more sales, so Huawei is expected to return to the first place in China in the second quarter.
However, because it is difficult to develop in overseas markets, Huawei mobile phones are still only sold in China, which is regrettable, if Huawei mobile phones can be sold overseas, then Huawei will restore its former glory, it is estimated that it is not too difficult to do so.
After all, only Apple's price is directly benchmarked against Huawei, and there are more people who buy Huawei, and fewer people buy Apple, which is inevitable.
