Recently, the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, Jiangsu Province, publicized the environmental impact assessment and approval opinions of a number of construction projects.
These include a project to upgrade a high-performance tire production line for new energy vehicles.
The construction unit of the project is Nanjing Kumho Tire Co., Ltd., with a planned investment of 206.8 million yuan.
It is understood that the company plans to partially transform the remaining production area of the existing plant.
This area originally planned to build the third phase of the 3.5 million semi-steel radial tire project.
It is now planned to adjust the product structure of 1.78 million semi-steel radial tires.
At the same time, the existing 30 vulcanization equipment will be eliminated and 30 vulcanization equipment dedicated to new energy high-performance tires will be added.
After the completion of the technical transformation, the whole factory can produce 1.78 million new energy high-performance tires.
In addition, it has an annual production capacity of 5 million semi-steel radial tires and 440,000 all-steel radial tires.
The remaining 1.72 million semi-steel radial tire production capacity will be included in the fourth phase of the project for construction.
After the project is publicized, it will be approved by the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment.
