On April 24, 2024, the western extension of Metro Line 4 constructed by Chongqing Rail Group and constructed by China Power Construction Corporation received good news, with the completion of the pouring of the last concrete of the lining structure of Huayuan Station, marking the successful completion of the lining structure of the first underground excavation station of the western extension of Line 4, which means that the goal of "capping" the first station of the whole line has been achieved.
The concealed excavation lining structure refers to the permanent supporting structure built with reinforced concrete and other materials along the perimeter of the underground excavation station in order to prevent the deformation of the surrounding rock of the excavated station, which is equivalent to the main skeleton of the excavated station and is the main load-bearing structure.
With a total length of about 215 meters and a width of about 13 meters, the Flower Garden Station is located in the Flower Garden Park and is an island-style underground excavation station. The completion of the construction of the lining structure of the station means that the main structure of the station is completed, which provides conditions for the subsequent construction of the secondary structure in the station, the decoration of the station and the installation of equipment.
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, before the construction, the rail group together with the participating units carefully organized and scientifically managed, urged the construction unit to strictly follow the design and special plan construction, continuously optimized the process and construction method, strictly controlled the construction safety and quality, and overcame the difficulties such as narrow construction site and complex underground pipelines.
At present, the western extension of Metro Line 4 has completed the capping of 1 station and the TBM excavation of a total of 8.1 kilometers. The line starts from Pangui Road Station in the west to Min'an Avenue Station (built) in the east, and will be connected with the first and second phases of Line 4 after completion, which will connect important areas such as Dashiba Group, Guanyinqiao Group, Tangjiatuo Group, Longxing Group, etc., to further encrypt the rail transit network in the central urban area and facilitate the travel of passengers.
