The "Cultural Walk" activity is a series of practical courses of the school's "Little Inheritors". In response to the call of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the school has developed a series of courses called "Little Inheritors of Chinese Excellent Culture". On campus, Nanchang Road Primary School uses folk music education as a link to build a three-dimensional and open traditional culture curriculum group, and outside the campus, the school integrates a number of educational resources, expands the resources of the "15-minute" education circle, and takes the children to a broader "classroom".
In the afternoon, nearly 100 third-grade students, accompanied by teachers and parent volunteers, came to Xuanwu Lake Park near the school to walk into Jinling culture in the form of on-the-spot reading, combining reading with practice and experiencing the charm of Jinling culture.
The students stepped onto the city wall and began their "walking" reading journey. They followed the route carefully designed by the teacher, entered through the entrance of the big tree root city wall, passed through the entrance of the liberation gate city wall, visited the exhibition hall, and finally arrived at the liberation gate. Along the way, they listened to the stories behind the monuments and felt the weight and vicissitudes of history. Under the guidance of the docent, observe the city wall, listen to the explanation, interact with the teacher from time to time, and experience the history and culture of Jinling during the walk.
"The city wall is made of thousands of bricks, and each piece has deep affection"
The narrator introduced to everyone: in order to ensure the quality of the bricks and divide the responsibilities, each brick is printed with the name of the brickmaker and the person in charge. The students walked under the Ming city wall and talked to the ancients through the city bricks. In front of a brick engraved with the word "Nanchang", the students stopped to watch excitedly, and under the leadership of the teacher, they looked for more words with special meaning to themselves on the city wall, and looked for more historical footprints.
During the day study, the instructor brought many wonderful historical stories to the students, and the students seemed to travel through time and space to immerse themselves in the thousand-year-old history of Jinling. In the teacher's in-depth explanation, everyone understood that the Xuanwu Lake City Wall, as a historical site of Jinling, has witnessed the changes of Jinling from ancient times to the present. The city wall is not only a line of defense, but also a thick history book. Under the guidance of the guide, the students walked along the city wall and felt the precipitation of history. They listened to the tour guide tell stories about the city wall, and felt how the city wall has survived the baptism of wind and rain and time, and still stands and becomes a symbol of Jinling City.
This activity cultivated students' observation and research skills, and stimulated everyone's enthusiasm for learning. The students not only improved their reading skills, but also increased their knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Jinling.
