Preface
On the road of exploring the universe, there are always people who make sacrifices, and there are always people who are willing to sacrifice their good lives for the sake of everyone's future.
On the Shenzhou 13 spacecraft, there is a female astronaut named Wang Yaping.
She is China's first female astronaut, and her presence has led to the advancement of China's space industry.
After spending more than half a year in space, Wang Yaping is finally back!
But she didn't come out of the spaceship, but was carried out by everyone!
When talking about space travel, Wang Yaping's words let us see the sad side of astronauts.
The one who picks the stars
On October 16, 2021, Shenzhou 13 embarked on a space journey with three astronauts with heavy responsibilities on board.
These three astronauts are none other than Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu. I'm sure you've all heard of their legends.
From the moment they landed in space, it meant that for the next 183 days of life, the three of them would spend time with each other, day and night.
They gave up being by their families' side and giving up their stable work and life. On the contrary, he came to space without hesitation and contributed to the country's space industry.
You know, in space, a space that is extremely devoid of oxygen, everything is not as smooth as it is on Earth.
They float freely in the cabin and look fresh and interesting. But after a long time, once the enthusiasm fades, what remains is a long day of scientific research work.
Compared with the other two men, Wang Yaping, as a woman, has many inconveniences in life.
However, from the moment he boarded the ship, Wang Yaping left the distinction between genders behind. come
According to Wang Yaping, after entering space, they will no longer stand firmly in the cabin of the spacecraft, but float in the air.
Moreover, in such a vacuum environment as space, Wang Yaping's three meals a day and physiological problems need to be solved "slowly".
If you're very impatient, you won't be able to hold on to anything. In addition to this, there is not enough pure water to use in space.
So, for the three of them, they can only consume reclaimed water.
What is reclaimed water? It is the water formed by the processing of various body fluids discharged by the human body.
Don't feel disgusted and hard to swallow. Because once you get here, you can't survive without maintaining enough physical strength.
This is part of the life that Wang Yaping and the three of them have lived in 183 days.
Sometimes, to relieve boredom, they can also pick up their colleagues with one hand and spin in circles in the air.
Such an operation can be easily achieved in the sky. Before going to space, Wang Yaping promised her daughter that she would go and pick the most beautiful stars in the sky for her.
On April 16, 2022, Wang Yaping's daughter waited with her family for her return.
However, because he had just left the vacuum, Wang Yaping could not stand and walk, and could only be carried out by people.
After seeing his daughter, Wang Yaping shouted happily: "The mother who picked the stars is back!"
Responsibility, mission, dream
After 183 days of fighting, Wang Yaping and his two colleagues returned to China smoothly.
But who knows that behind this, she has gone through a lot of hardships.
Wang Yaping enlisted in the army at the age of 17 and joined the party at the age of 20, and at the age of 18, she was already able to fly the plane into the blue sky independently.
At an age when others are still playing with beauty, Wang Yaping has already had countless flying experiences. Since the age of 18, Wang Yaping has flown more than 800 hours in blue skies.
After graduating from university, Wang Yaping also entered the Wuhan Air Force Transport Air Corps. Here, she is not only able to master the piloting of 4 different models, but she is also the youngest of the many pilots.
In 2008, Wang Yaping also piloted a rescue plane and saved many lives in the Wenchuan earthquake.
However, behind this scenery, Wang Yaping has experienced a very "profound" training.
This trip to the sky is not the first time Wang Yaping has been on that strange space, as she first landed in that unfamiliar space on June 11, 2013.
After spending more than ten days on Shenzhou 10, Wang Yaping successfully landed in Inner Mongolia on June 26, 2013.
However, getting to space is not an easy task. For women, in terms of physical fitness, they are much weaker than men.
In order to make up for his congenital shortcomings, Wang Yaping worked very hard in his daily training. Whether it's catching a shot put, doing push-ups, or lifting a barbell.
As long as the male colleagues do ten, she will do twenty. As long as they make a hundred, she will make two hundred, this is Wang Yaping's requirement for herself.
For her, the training was nothing more than pediatrics. Training that is truly torturous is never absent, but on the way to come.
As a pilot, wilderness survival training is essential.
Everyone must have heard of this training, or they have seen the military wilderness survival training on TV.
However, Wang Yaping's training was different from that of ordinary soldiers.
On May 22, 2018, Wang Yaping and his crew members came to the Badain Jaran Desert to participate in wilderness survival training.
In the depths of this desert, Wang Yaping looked at the yellow sand flying in the sky, picked up the satellite phone in his hand, and broadcast the location and current status of the members to the command center.
In such extremely bad weather, if the rescue team cannot arrive in time, then they must know how to save themselves, not sit idly by.
After all, in the desert, the lack of oxygen caused by the lack of water, the rapid decrease in physical fitness and other problems will eventually be life-threatening.
As the captain, Wang Yaping must not only take care of the safety of every member, but also get in touch with the command center in time to prevent accidents.
As we all know, the signal in the desert is very unstable, and if you go off the rails, you probably won't be able to come back.
Sometimes, there will even be a sandstorm, and such bad weather is likely to swallow their group.
In the Badain Jaran Desert, Wang Yaping not only had to complete field survival training, but also completed training such as close contact for help, desert field travel, and emergency evacuation from the waiting section of the launch site.
After a series of high-intensity training, Wang Yaping lost a lot of weight.
Seeing this, her family inevitably felt sorry.
In fact, as ordinary people, we will also be teary-eyed when we see Wang Yaping, as a woman, participating in such a difficult training.
The training mentioned above is what you have to go through as a pilot.
The next training is what you really need to face as an astronaut.
Before boarding the spacecraft, Wang Yaping will be required to participate in several training sessions on the Shenzhou spacecraft's ground simulation system.
The purpose of this training is to allow the astronauts to adapt to the distorted environment of space as early as possible.
The training simulator is exactly like a real spacecraft, and the instructors check the completion of the trainees in the command and control room above.
During the simulation, Wang Yaping needed to stay in it for more than four hours to complete a training session. The length of time was not a problem for her.
Importantly, if you make a mistake, you will have irreversible consequences.
Although this is only a simulation training, if there is any mistake during the flight, the end will be unbearable.
In order to ensure the complete correctness of the operation in the future, Wang Yaping can only practice again and again until he knows how to operate with his eyes closed.
It is well known that when launching a spacecraft, astronauts will exhibit various inverted, rapid spins. In order for them to be able to cope with the vertigo caused by the spin, they must participate in swivel chair swing training.
Despite the fact that the name sounds ordinary, it is actually quite torturous. The swivel chair rotates 360 degrees from time to time, constantly swinging randomly up and down, back and forth.
It's already very dazzling to look at from the outside, let alone what it's like to actually sit inside.
However, it is such a seemingly simple training, and Wang Yaping and his colleagues have to train countless times.
Aside from the training on the swivel chair swing, the centrifuge training was the most painful.
According to Wang Yaping, when we go on a roller coaster, we are forced to bear twice the weight of our own weight.
However, on such a centrifuge, they would be carrying eight times their own weight. That is to say, if a person weighs 100 catties, then he will have to bear the weight of 800 catties.
To put it simply, it is equivalent to them doing this kind of training every day, as if they are pressed with 8 adults of equal weight.
This pressure was several hours long, and I even lost consciousness in it.
Whether crying or laughing, the face will be pulled and severely deformed.
To be more serious, most people are likely to be incontinent when they try it for the first time.
is this kind of training that is uncomfortable to watch, and Wang Yaping has also trained I don't know how many times.
In addition to the above-mentioned training, Wang Yaping also participates in many other trainings every day.
There is more to their suffering and pressure than can be said.
The development of China's aerospace industry is inseparable from the efforts of outstanding people like Wang Yaping.
Salute to all the space heroes!
