Do you want to share your phone screen when buying concert tickets? Beware of the traps!

author:Modern Express

Modern Express News (Reporter Ji Yu) snapped up concert tickets for his favorite singers, and went to the appointment of youth with idols with great expectations. Unexpectedly, the official ticketing platform was sold out on the day of the pre-sale, and some fans tried their luck online to see if anyone transferred the tickets. Fraudsters take advantage of fans' eagerness to buy tickets, carefully concoct scams, set traps and wait to be baited.

Recently, Xiao Chen, a citizen of Nanjing, failed to buy concert tickets on the official ticketing platform, and as a die-hard fan of the singer of this concert, he didn't want to miss the opportunity. So, Xiao Chen wanted to see if anyone had transferred the tickets, and then saw a netizen with the screen name "Lele" posted a ticket transfer message. The other party claims to be a regular ticketing platform, and you only need to add 20 yuan to buy tickets. In order to show sincerity, "Lele" also showed Xiao Chen an electronic business license.

A conversation between Xiao Chen and Lele

Xiao Chen, who believed it to be true, provided personal information to the other party and transferred 1,000 yuan to the account provided by the other party. However, the other party asked to place a new order on the grounds that Xiao Chen "did not fill in the remarks". Then the other party told Xiao Chen to transfer money first and then refund on the grounds of "system card order, payment can be refunded first" and "the order is about to time out". After Xiao Chen transferred 1,000 yuan again, the other party pulled him into a refund group, and said that there was a customer service in the group who was responsible for refunds. Soon, the "refund customer service" contacted Xiao Chen and asked him to download a screen sharing software to remotely guide Xiao Chen's refund operation. When Xiao Chen was screen sharing with the other party, the "refund customer service" offered to transfer another 4,999 yuan, and Xiao Chen, realizing that something was wrong, immediately turned off the screen sharing function and called the police.

The Jiangsu Internet Police analyzed the fraud routine. Criminals publish false ticket sales information on online platforms to attract fans on reasons such as "transfer tickets" and "tickets are available at offline pre-sale outlets". Obtain the victim's personal information according to the normal ticketing process, and send fake website links to induce the victim to pay through the website, so as to defraud the victim. Criminals induce victims to place new orders with words such as "failure to fill in information as required", "system card slip" and "order timeout", and then guide them to download and use screen sharing software on the grounds of refund, so as to defraud more money.

Jiangsu Internet Police reminds that you should choose formal channels to buy tickets, be wary of unofficial, second-hand transactions and other channels, and be wary of asking for repeated payments for various reasons. Don't click on unfamiliar links, don't scan unknown QR codes, don't download apps from unknown sources, and don't use screen sharing features to avoid falling into the trap of "serial fraud".
