Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the "Aimozhi Sino-French Dementia Medical Research Center" was held in the Luwan Branch of Ruijin Hospital. The research center is jointly established by four units: French Emmerzhi Group, Ruijin Hospital Luwan Branch, Huangpu Xiangshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Huangpu District Geriatric Care Hospital. Mr. Yuan Yuan, Deputy Mayor of Huangpu District, Mr. Xavier ASSFELD and Mr. Alexandre EA of the Consulate General of France in Shanghai, and Mark SOUBIRAN, Executive Director of the Ecole Supérieure des Hautes Psychiatric and Rehabilitation in France, attended the event.
At the ceremony, Marc Saillon, Chairman of the French Emmerzhi Group, Jin Wei, President of the Luwan Branch of Ruijin Hospital, Chai Liping, Secretary of the General Party Branch and President of Xiangshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Zhang Yang, President of Huangpu District Geriatric Care Hospital, jointly signed the cooperation framework agreement of the "Aimerzhi Sino-French Dementia Medical Research Center".
Mr. Yuan Yuan and Mr. Xavier ASSFELD, Deputy Mayor of Huangpu District, unveiled the plaque of the "Aimozhi Sino-French Dementia Medical Research Center".
In his speech, Mr. Xavier ASSFELD said that the cooperation between China and France in the field of science and technology has been deepening, and health and ageing are one of the key areas of cooperation. Population ageing and accompanying neurodegenerative diseases are one of the concerns of almost every country in the world, and the Emmerzy Group is committed to solving this problem in France. The establishment of the "Aimozhi Sino-French Dementia Medical Research Center" can rely on the medical service capabilities of regional public hospitals, and at the same time give full play to Aimozhi's experience in dementia care, and jointly help the development of health care for the elderly.
According to the deputy secretary of the District Health Party Working Committee and the director of the District Health Commission, among the three hospitals participating in the cooperation, the Luwan Branch of Ruijin Hospital is one of the regional medical centers in Huangpu District, and the Encephalopathy Center is the key discipline of the hospital, especially in 2023, the "Parkinson's Disease Excellence Diagnosis and Treatment Center" was successfully selected as a national key clinical specialty; Huangpu District Geriatric Care Hospital is a specialized medical institution integrating "geriatric rehabilitation, medical care, and palliative care", and is currently cooperating with the National Advanced Core Cognitive Impairment Diagnosis and Treatment Center and the Department of Neurology of Ruijin Hospital to carry out cognitive impairment outpatient clinics and cognitive rehabilitation training, and build a regional cognitive impairment collaboration network. It is expected that in the future, the four parties will work together to innovate through collaborative research and bring good news to more patients with cognitive impairment and their families.
Marc Saillon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emmerzy Group, gave a detailed account of the Group's characteristics. Jin Wei, President of Ruijin Hospital Luwan Branch, introduced the characteristics of the hospital. Ruijin Hospital Luwan Branch is a second-class comprehensive hospital with a history of 106 years, with a number of national, municipal and district key specialties, forming a characteristic discipline group in the field of chronic diseases and health management. Since 2018, relying on the support of the Institute of Neuroscience of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Ruijin Hospital, the hospital has established a brain disease center, benchmarking the major scientific and technological strategy of the national "brain plan", focusing on the three major fields of geriatric brain, functional brain and digital imaging brain, especially making breakthroughs in clinical and basic research of neurodegenerative diseases, and also building an academic platform for dementia screening, identification, diagnosis and treatment, and prevention.
After the ceremony, the guests visited the Encephalopathy Center of Ruijin Hospital Luwan Branch, the Department of Coordinated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine of Huangpu Xiangshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Demonstration Ward of Cognitive Impairment of Huangpu District Geriatric Care Hospital.
