The Guantao County Party Committee and the county government attach great importance to it, led by the deputy county magistrate in charge, and organize health, education, sports, screening medical institutions and other units to hold special meetings for the first time to arrange and deploy, study and formulate work plans, consolidate work responsibilities, clarify specific requirements, and actively and steadily promote implementation.
Adolescence is a period of high incidence of scoliosis, and scoliosis affects adolescents not only physically, but also psychologically, physiologically and so on. Early screening and early intervention are the key links in control, which can timely understand the growth and development of students, assess the degree of scoliosis of students, and help young children's spinal health. In accordance with the unified arrangement and deployment of the county party committee and the county government, the county health bureau and the education and sports bureau strengthened communication and coordination, formed a joint work force, and carefully organized screening medical institutions and secondary schools to carry out scoliosis screening for primary and secondary school students in the county.
At the screening site, medical staff patiently and meticulously conducted spinal health examinations for each student through visual inspection and scoliosis measuring rulers, inquired about daily life and study habits, observed the posture of standing and bending, and popularized common sense of spinal health, self-examination methods and daily precautions, and actively advocated students to develop good learning and living habits to prevent the occurrence of scoliosis. Up to now, more than 50,000 primary and secondary school students have been screened.
