Recently, the Yongding police cracked a case of selling goods with counterfeit registered trademarks, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and further purifying the market environment.
Case review
Previously, the Economic Investigation Brigade of the Yongding Public Security Bureau received clues that there were people selling goods with counterfeit registered trademarks in Gaopi Town. After a period of investigation, on March 15, the Economic Investigation Brigade and the Gaopi Regional Joint Police Station carried out a centralized collection of the case, arrested 4 suspects on the spot, and seized more than 10,000 pairs of fake shoes of NIKE, ADIDAS and other brands, worth more than 100 yuan.
After investigation, under the arrangement of the boss Xie, the four suspects Wang, Chen, and Lai engaged in the online sale of counterfeit registered trademark goods in the jurisdiction of Gaopi from January 2022 to March 2024, and the four people had a clear division of labor, online sales, offline packaging and delivery, and flowed the counterfeit registered goods to the market, seriously infringing on the intellectual property rights of the brand and the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and the amount involved was as high as more than 1,000 yuan.
On March 18, the police of the Economic Investigation Brigade went to other provinces and successfully arrested the boss Xie.
At present, the five suspects involved in the case have all been criminally detained by the police, and the case is under further investigation.
