At the Porsche Night on April 23, the Porsche all-electric Macan made its domestic debut, and the price of the new car will be announced at the Beijing Motor Show, which opens on April 25. Although it shares the same name as the petrol version of the Macan, it is not a gasoline-electric model, but a new electric vehicle based on the PPE platform, which is a premium electric vehicle platform shared by Porsche and Audi. With 800V high-voltage platform technology, compared with the previous generation of electric vehicles, the three-electric system is fully optimized, bringing longer battery life, faster charging speed, and better space experience. The all-electric Macan is positioned as a mid-size SUV with a reimagined exterior and interior that features Porsche's latest design concepts.
Although this is an all-new model, it retains the name of the Macan, which has won the hearts of people as a successful model and will be quickly recognized by everyone by launching the product under this name. Of course, in the silhouette of the Macan, you can still find a shadow of the Macan, proving that they are the same family members.

The Macan is available in two variants, the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo, with different exterior packages. The front face features a split headlight design, introducing the latest family language, and the daytime running lights are similar in style to the Cayenne. The raised lines on the front hatch from the daytime running light cluster add to the muscular feel of the car and make it more sporty. The daytime running lights bulge upwards, a classic design of the Porsche family. The front bumper has a large front spoiler, which shows the sporty character of the car.
On the side, you can see the classic silhouette of the Macan, which has a unique shape that gives it a rounded and dynamic look, and the all-electric Macan has shorter front and rear overhangs and more wheelbase space. In terms of vehicle dimensions, the all-electric Macan has a length, width and height of 4784/1938/1622mm and a wheelbase of 2893mm. Because it is free from the shackles of the internal combustion engine, it can provide a front trunk with a volume of 84L, and the trunk volume is 540-1348L after normal and expansion, and the Turbo model has a volume of 480-1288L due to the audio system encroaching on some trunk space.

At the rear of the car, a fixed spoiler extending from the Macan's roof is hidden under the rear windshield of the all-electric Macan, this time electrically adjustable. The continuous taillights are very well lit, and the rear camera and power trunk buttons are integrated inside.
In terms of interior, the T-shaped shape of the center console maintains a high degree of consistency with the Cayenne, and has the same triple screen design as the Cayenne, highlighting the sense of technology and luxury. The overall shape is still driver-centric, with the gear lever moved to the right side of the steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with a PCM equipped with Android Automotive OS, as well as a Porsche App Center where you can download third-party apps, and more apps can be downloaded, and CarPlay phone mapping is supported. The My Porsche app allows remote control of charging and on-board functions. All three screens can provide relatively comprehensive information, including navigation, music, Bluetooth calls, etc.
The front seats are heated and ventilated, the front and rear air conditioners have separate control areas, the integrated seats have good wrapping, the frameless doors look quite sporty, and the ambient lighting on the doors and center console creates a luxurious atmosphere.
In terms of power, the all-electric Macan will be powered by the latest generation of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSM) with dual front and rear motors for all-wheel drive. It has a maximum power of 300 kW and a maximum torque of 650 Nm, while the Macan Turbo has a maximum power of 470 kW and a maximum torque of 1130 Nm. In order to improve efficiency, silicon carbide is used as a semiconductor material in the rear axle pulse inverter (PWR), which greatly reduces the conversion loss of the pulse inverter and achieves a higher conversion frequency. The lithium-ion battery has a total capacity of 100 kWh, divided into 12 modules with a total of 180 square cells, of which the ratio of nickel, cobalt and manganese is 8:1:1. 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds for the Macan 4 and 3.3 seconds for the Macan Turbo.
Thanks to the 800V architecture, the Macan can charge up to 270 kW and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 21 minutes. If the charging station can only use 400V technology, the all-electric Macan activates the "Combined Charging" function to speed up the charging process. The "Combined Charging" function effectively splits the 800V battery into two cells, each with a rated voltage of 400V, which can be charged in parallel at a 400V charging station. In terms of range, the Macan 4 has a combined range of 613 km in the WLTP mode and the Macan Turbo has a range of 591 km.
