At the Porsche Night on April 23, the Porsche all-electric Macan made its domestic debut, and the price of the new car will be announced at the Beijing Motor Show, which opens on April 25. Although it shares the same name as the petrol version of the Macan, it is not a gasoline-electric model, but a new electric vehicle based on the PPE platform, which is a premium electric vehicle platform shared by Porsche and Audi. With 800V high-voltage platform technology, compared with the previous generation of electric vehicles, the three-electric system is fully optimized, bringing longer battery life, faster charging speed, and better space experience. The all-electric Macan is positioned as a mid-size SUV with a reimagined exterior and interior that features Porsche's latest design concepts.

  In terms of power, the all-electric Macan will be powered by the latest generation of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSM) with dual front and rear motors for all-wheel drive. It has a maximum power of 300 kW and a maximum torque of 650 Nm, while the Macan Turbo has a maximum power of 470 kW and a maximum torque of 1130 Nm. In order to improve efficiency, silicon carbide is used as a semiconductor material in the rear axle pulse inverter (PWR), which greatly reduces the conversion loss of the pulse inverter and achieves a higher conversion frequency. The lithium-ion battery has a total capacity of 100 kWh, divided into 12 modules with a total of 180 square cells, of which the ratio of nickel, cobalt and manganese is 8:1:1. 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds for the Macan 4 and 3.3 seconds for the Macan Turbo.

  Thanks to the 800V architecture, the Macan can charge up to 270 kW and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 21 minutes. If the charging station can only use 400V technology, the all-electric Macan activates the "Combined Charging" function to speed up the charging process. The "Combined Charging" function effectively splits the 800V battery into two cells, each with a rated voltage of 400V, which can be charged in parallel at a 400V charging station. In terms of range, the Macan 4 has a combined range of 613 km in the WLTP mode and the Macan Turbo has a range of 591 km.
