On April 23, Geely's radar pickup truck was launched. Among them, the guide price of radar horizon: 181,800-221,800 yuan, and the two radar RD6 2024 models are listed, with prices of 151,800 yuan and 199,800 yuan respectively.
The radar RD6 is one of the first pure electric pickup trucks in China, which is of great pioneering significance. With the fierce competition in trial production, this track has also ushered in new energy pickups such as Changan Hunter, and Geely also needs stronger product strength to deal with it. The Radar Horizon can be seen as a four-wheel drive version of the Radar RD6, which is more functional outdoors and brings new options to users.

The platform has many advantages, such as adapting to single and dual motors, and can be equipped with SiC modules, with a maximum power of 400kW and a 000-00 acceleration of up to 4 seconds, a maximum battery capacity of 140kW and a range of more than 800km, a maximum fast charging voltage of 800V and a fast battery swap of 2 minutes. It is made of up to 70% high-strength steel, and the top is designed to withstand pressure of 8 tons, which is nearly twice that of traditional pickups.
Radar Horizon is the first model of Geely's M.A.P Radar Hanhai platform, which not only brings basic pickup attributes beyond traditional pickup trucks, but also makes it rely on pure electric energy to add more functionality.
[Strong power, acceleration in 4.5 seconds]
The radar horizon is equipped with a dual-motor system with a total power of 315kW and a peak torque of 594Nm, accelerating to 100km/h in 4.5s and reaching a top speed of 190km/h.
In addition, it also has a maximum wading depth of 815mm, and the climbing degree can reach 95% with no load and 65% with full load.
It offers 7 driving modes with voice switching, and is equipped with an intelligent all-terrain feedback system that intelligently adjusts the torque distribution of the four wheels, with a minimum turning radius of 3.5m.
In addition, the vehicle adopts an integrated cage endoskeleton body structure design, which is lighter and stronger than the traditional split non-load-bearing body structure, and has a maximum load capacity of 1140kg and a maximum towing capacity of 3500kg.
In terms of range, under CLTC conditions, the radar horizon pure electric range provides two options: 460km and 520km.
[Super external discharge, maximum power 21kW]
It is worth noting that the vehicle also supports the "super external discharge" function, with a maximum power of 21kW, and supports 5 discharge states, including charging and discharging/driving/parking/locking/remote discharge control, which can be used in the front trunk, cockpit, car side, rear bucket, etc.
In terms of function, it supports the discharge of power grids, household appliances, and vehicles, especially in the V2V scenario of emergency rescue, and the external discharge voltage can reach 1000V.
With the rapid development of the new energy vehicle market and the increase in market demand for pickup truck models, the new energy pickup market is expected to continue to grow.
