In the early days of liberation, the Miao people in Wansheng, Tongzi and Songkan in Chongqing successively migrated to live in Maman, forming a Miao population settlement dominated by Zhongling, Zhonggang, Longtai and Meizi.
Longtai Village, with a land area of 8 square kilometers, is 28 kilometers away from Tongzi County, with an average altitude of 1,350 meters and a forest coverage rate of 75%. At present, there are 778 people in 207 households, including 631 people in 161 Miao households, which is the village with the largest number of ethnic minorities in Tongzi County.
Longtai Village, Mamane and Miao Township, takes national costumes, wedding customs, characteristic folk customs and other national characteristics as the starting point, and helps the local people increase their income by holding various ethnic celebrations, in the form of Miao embroidery batik, long table banquet, bonfire party, etc., and injects a steady stream of vitality into the development of the village.

Miao reed sheng song and dance are very popular in the ethnic minority areas of the past dynasties, and the reed sheng production skill is also a precious skill in the production and life of Miao compatriots.
Miao and asparagus, "sheng sheng" endlessly. There is a saying in the Miao people, "Reeds and drums cannot be lost, no matter where you go, you must bring them". As the most representative musical instrument of the Miao people, the reed sheng is their cultural treasure.
Polishing the sheng bucket, opening the sheng pipe hole positioning, assembling the sheng pipe, placing the sheng reed, tuning, etc., the person in front of him who is dedicated to making reed sheng is Xiong Jingang. The seemingly simple production of asparagus requires not only the meticulous craftsmanship of the producer, but also a certain sense of musicality. "The most difficult thing is to install the reed, which has to be adjusted repeatedly to make the monotone accurate and harmonious. Xiong Jingang, the inheritor of asparagus production in Longtai Village, Mamane and Miao Township, said that I will continue to make more high-quality asparagus, and I hope that through my efforts, more young people will participate in the production of this asparagus and pass on the asparagus culture. ”
Since poverty alleviation, Longtai Village has continuously improved its infrastructure, based on the cultural advantages of Miao nationality, taking the inheritance and protection of national culture as the starting point, taking industrial development as the foundation, and taking national culture as the soul, constantly enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the masses, exploring a development path of deep integration of red culture, Miao customs and green industry, creating a 3A-level Miao customs scenic spot, and building 32 rural tourism homestays with more than 700 beds.
With the development of tourism, Longtai Village, which has distinctive ethnic characteristics, has attracted more and more tourists to enter Longtai, visit Longtai and understand Longtai with its unique architectural style, profound cultural heritage and simple folk customs.
