Tovar Pharmacy is a unique project designed by Capacinco Arquitectura for the Tovar Zaidín family in the municipality of Granada. It is a new open-plan commercial space, filled with light, with wood, textures and neutral colours that enhance the concept of sustainable commerce. Lighting projects completed by Big Architectural Lighting to achieve the right balance between aesthetics and functionality through lighting systems and luminaires.
The large façade of the store is orderly and adjusted, showcasing the products and the warm atmosphere inside. It is an attraction that subtly breaks the formal aesthetics of the surrounding built environment.
Rough-textured neutral materials sparkle on the outside. Light accentuates the shadows and geometry of the various materials that make up the façade.
Since the light rays are connected and extend along the upper contour, the plane front appears to unfold on one surface. This continuous, bi-directional lighting provides unity and continuity to the space.
A row of hanging floodlights shows the passage to the entrance. Both its orientation and rotation angle prevent external light pollution.
The interior of Tovar's pharmacy amazes with its home-like treatment full of details. The F track light system is highly flexible and can mark routes, highlight porcelain carpets, and illuminate individual service desks.
The second row of perimeter projectors focuses light onto the shelves and display stands. It's a targeted and practical way of lighting that keeps our eyes and attention focused on the product being sold.
The vertical plane of the inner contour maintains the linear light effect of the exterior. The illumination of the horizontal plane restricts and marks the exhibition space, giving the space an interesting effect of depth.
