On April 22, a delegation from the French Sino-French Friendship and Mutual Aid Association visited the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. Jiang Jingfeng, director of the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, met with the delegation and had cordial exchanges with them.
President He Jianxing introduced the basic situation, development history and future work plan of the association, and other members of the delegation introduced their respective career development and experience of returning to China.
Jiang Jingfeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and fully affirmed the work done by the association in extensively uniting and contacting overseas Chinese, promoting Sino-French economic and trade cooperation, inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and supporting the integration of overseas Chinese youth into the local mainstream society.
Jiang Jingfeng introduced the basic situation of Zhejiang's economic and social development and the characteristics and advantages of overseas Chinese affairs, and put forward three hopes for everyone: First, we should value "harmony" and better integrate into the local mainstream society. It is necessary to respect local folk customs, actively give back to the local society, and establish a good image of overseas Chinese in Zhejiang. It is necessary to promote the construction of harmonious overseas Chinese communities, give full play to the role of "passing on and helping to lead", and promote the sustainable development of overseas Chinese communities. Second, we must operate legally and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results in pragmatic cooperation. It is necessary to give full play to the advantages of being familiar with the cultures of the two countries, proficient in local languages, and having extensive network resources, so as to build bridges for Zhejiang to promote high-quality development, and promote pragmatic exchanges and cooperation between Zhejiang and France in various fields. Third, we must take overseas Chinese as a bridge and tell the "Zhejiang story" of Chinese-style modernization. It is necessary to combine their own experience and tell local friends the story of the thriving, prosperous and stable development of Zhejiang in a variety of ways. It is necessary to continue to help the construction of the three "No. 1 projects", draw the largest concentric circle for Zhejiang to "be a pioneer and write a new chapter" on the new journey of Chinese-style modernization, and gather more overseas Chinese forces.
