As a major branch in the field of new energy vehicles, in recent years, Jiading has continued to make efforts in the field of hydrogen energy vehicle development. A few days ago, the reporter learned from Shanghai Motor Vehicle Testing and Certification Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. that Shanghai's first third-party testing and R&D public service platform for hydrogen energy, covering fuel cell vehicles, engines, stacks and key components and other technologies in Jiading Hydrogen Energy Port - Shanghai Automobile Inspection Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Testing Base has been completed, and relevant laboratories will be put into use one after another, laying a key role for the construction of hydrogen energy industry in Shanghai and even the whole country.

Shanghai Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Testing Base is located in Jiading Hydrogen Energy Port, covering an area of about 50 acres, with a total construction area of about 50,000 square meters.

The city's first!

Walking into the hydrogen vehicle test building, the most eye-catching thing is an EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) laboratory with a space of more than 3,000 cubic meters. According to Wang Rui, an engineer in the laboratory, this laboratory is currently the largest and most complete vehicle electromagnetic compatibility laboratory in East China, designed for hydrogen-related vehicle tests, with hydrogen detection and water-gas separation devices, and specially designed for structural design and ventilation design, so as to ensure the safety of the test. "The anechoic chamber is equipped with a special low-radiation drive hub for vehicle EMC testing, which is suitable for 2-axle, 3-axle and 4-axle hydrogen-related and new energy passenger cars, commercial vehicles, electric buses, etc., with a wheelbase range of 1.4-7 meters, which can simulate a variety of vehicle driving conditions, and can provide EMC emission and immunity tests for vehicles within 55 tons. Wang Rui said.

Hydrogen fuel cell stack is one of the key components of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. In the hydrogen energy components test building, a fuel cell stack laboratory is also set up. Jiang Changlong, director of the Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Testing and Research Laboratory, said that the laboratory can simulate various complex and extreme environments to carry out comprehensive testing on the safety and reliability of batteries.

"The fuel cell stack laboratory can meet the performance, reliability and durability tests of 400kW fuel cell stacks, including working condition simulation, failure analysis, stack control strategy development, safety testing and other tests. The laboratory can also perform low-temperature experiments from -40°C to -10°C, high-temperature experiments from +50°C to +125°C, temperature shock, and cold start tests from -40°C to 0°C. Jiang Changlong said.

It is understood that the hydrogen energy base has built a total of 15 laboratories including light and heavy-duty vehicle hub environment laboratory, fuel cell vehicle four-drive assembly laboratory, fuel cell engine laboratory, etc., with a full set of R&D, testing and certification capabilities at the component level, system level and vehicle level. As an important hydrogen energy infrastructure in Jiading District and even the Yangtze River Delta, and an important project for the high-quality development of hydrogen energy new productivity, the completion and commissioning of the base complements the important link of testing and certification in the hydrogen energy industry chain, and can also be used as an office and incubator for hydrogen energy enterprises, providing more market extension services for the development of the hydrogen energy industry.

The city's first!

"After the hydrogen energy base is completed and put into use, it will complement each other with the Shanghai auto inspection, Jiangsu Rugao base, and the automotive science and technology innovation platform. Pan Xiangmin, chief engineer of the Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Testing and Research Laboratory, said that the project is of great significance to support the "New Four Modernizations" industry of Jiading Automobile, build an innovation highland for the hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry, and even serve the development of the new energy vehicle industry in the Yangtze River Delta and the whole country.
