In response to the recent online rumors that "a 9-year-old boy in Xinxiang, Henan Province was beaten by the parents of his classmates at the school gate", on April 22, the Education and Sports Bureau of Muye District, Xinxiang City, Henan Province issued a circular, confirming that the incident was a dispute between students in the process of getting along at school, and then escalated to a public security case of beating others caused by parents who lost control of their emotions.
According to the information report issued by the Education and Sports Bureau of Muye District, Xinxiang City, according to the investigation, on the afternoon of April 16, in the Niucun Cultural and Sports Square, Muye District, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, there was an incident in which the mother and son of Li Moukun (male, 9 years old), a student in the fourth (1) class of Niucun Primary School, were beaten by the parents of their classmate Li Mouxi (female, 10 years old).
After the incident, the public security organs dealt with it in a timely manner and imposed public security penalties of administrative detention and fines on Li Mouxi's parents in accordance with the law. The Education and Sports Bureau of Muye District immediately set up a special working group and stationed in Niucun Primary School to carry out a comprehensive investigation.

On 21 April, an understanding was reached between the two sides. Based on the results of the investigation, the class teacher of the student involved was replaced, and the main person in charge of the school and the person in charge of safety work were seriously held accountable. At the same time, according to the wishes of the students and their parents, they will adjust the classes and schools in a timely manner, follow up the training management, invite psychological counseling experts to carry out psychological counseling for Li Moukun and Li Mouxi respectively, and organize school class teachers and mental health teachers to conduct group psychological counseling for the students of the whole school.
