"It's been more than two years since I paid the bill, and I haven't used the ...... for household gas"

author:Beijing Traffic Broadcasting

Recently, residents of No. 51 Xinhua North Road, Yongshun Town, Tongzhou District, called the Beijing 12345 citizen service hotline to report that in August 2021, the street and community organizations carried out gas renovation work, and residents paid about 6,000 yuan per gas installation fee, but they have not used gas so far, and can only fill or cook with electricity by themselves. There are more than 300 households in three communities. When will the more than 300 homes be connected to gas?

It's almost time to fill the gas again, and at this time, Ms. Sun, who lives in No. 51 Xinhua North Road, Tongzhou District, has a headache. She and her wife, who live on the 4th floor, are both old, and it is difficult to go upstairs, not to mention carrying a gas tank up and down the stairs to fill it.

Ms. Sun: If I didn't have my son's help, I wouldn't have been able to get it out, and my son didn't come back with the children these days. Just our gas tank cooks a little more, usually once a month and a half. We've got all this stuff, just waiting for it for him to ventilate. I deliberately asked my son to let him lift it up, and he struggled to lift it.

The gas connection and gas meter have been installed on the north wall of Ms. Sun's kitchen, and when she opened the window to look out, the black gas pipes had been installed close to the exterior wall. The work has reached this point, and the gas is still delayed, which makes Ms. Sun very puzzled.

Reporter: Where's the interface? I'll take a look, isn't it in the back?

Ms. Sun: There is a red pipe behind this, and there is a pipe there.

Reporter: This was all pretended for us at that time?

Ms. Sun: Yes, the table is the same, it's all in order, and it's almost ventilated.

No. 51 Xinhua North Road/Photo by reporters

No. 51 Xinhua North Road was built in the 80s of the last century, there is no elevator, the community is not large, there are dozens of residents, most of them are elderly. Over the years, most of the residents have gone to nearby stations to fill gas, and some families use electricity for cooking, which is very inconvenient. In August 2021, Yongshun Town and the community coordinated with Beijing Xiang'an Gas Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. to install gas for residents, charging about 6,000 yuan per household. The residents paid the money, but the gas was waited for more than 2 years.

Resident: Because most of our homes are occupied by the elderly, and their children do not live here, it is not convenient to use gas canisters. In August 2021, they found a natural gas installation company, which cost 6,000 yuan per household, which is less troublesome than moving gas cylinders.

Resident: At that time, the pipeline was connected before the payment was completed, and it was installed, but this gas has not been responded, and now everyone's opinions are too big. Didn't there be an epidemic at that time, and it's still dragging on.

Also affected by this are the nearby No. 59 Xinhua North Road and No. 308 Yongshun South Street. According to the data provided by the local town of Yongshun, a total of 310 households in the three communities need to be connected to gas. Residents who have been unable to wait for the gas connection have also repeatedly questioned and even applied for refunds, but have never received a definite answer.

Resident: Today we are unqualified here, and tomorrow we are unqualified there. Before the Spring Festival this year, it seemed to be qualified, but now it seems that there is a lack of procedures. This year, it seems that it will be ventilated until the end of March, but it has not been opened until now.

Resident: At the meeting in July last year, they said that they would not be able to ventilate on September 20, and they would refund the money. Then it was gone.

Resident: I've been waiting, and at the end of last year, around October, he said that he could supply gas, but in fact there was no supply, and now he can only use the original gas canister.

Why did the enterprise charge for more than 2 years and did not connect the residents to natural gas? Does the construction unit have the corresponding qualifications? In response to these people's questions, Yongshun Town, Tongzhou District, replied in writing that Beijing Xiang'an Gas Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. and the staff in charge of gas replacement jointly found the town in 2021, and offered to install gas for residents at a price of about 6,000 yuan. The department in charge of Yongshun Town agreed to carry out the gas installation work after the residents reached a consensus. Due to the epidemic and the approval of road procedures, the gas has not been connected in time.

The Yongshun Town Government also said that on March 25 this year, it organized the District Urban Management Committee, the third gas branch, the person in charge of the construction unit, and the staff of Yongshun Dongli Community and Yongshun Village to hold a meeting to promote the residents' gas transformation work. At present, the construction of the outer line and indoor meter installation of No. 308 Yongshun South Street has been completed, and the acceptance materials have been prepared. The indoor and outdoor construction of No. 51 and No. 59 Xinhua North Road has been completed, and the pre-acceptance has been passed.
