On April 20, the inaugural meeting of the Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Industry Service Station of the Bamboo Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society and the first member congress were held in Daguan County, the "hometown of Chinese bamboo". The conference invited Mr. Lan Xiaoguang, chairman of the bamboo branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, former chief engineer of the Zhejiang Provincial Forestry Department, vice chairman of the China Bamboo Industry Association, Professor Ding Yulong of Nanjing Forestry University, Lu Yunhua, director of the Daguan County Forestry and Grassland Bureau, Zhang Shuquan, director of the Daguan County Bamboo Industry Development Center, and other guests from inside and outside the province, more than 70 representatives from Southwest Forestry University and Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and other scientific research institutes, forestry authorities, bamboo processing enterprises and planting and breeding professional cooperatives or family farms attended the conference. The meeting was chaired by Professor Ding Yulong.
The conference first deliberated and approved the "Regulations of the Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Industry Service Station of the Bamboo Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society (Draft)" and the "Election Measures for the Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Industry Service Station of the Bamboo Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society (Draft)". Subsequently, by a show of hands voted elected the board of directors and supervisors of the board of supervisors, vice chairman of the bamboo branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, Professor Dong Wenyuan of Southwest Forestry University was elected as the first chairman of the service station, Xie Zexuan, president of the Daguan County Bamboo Industry Association, was elected as the chairman of the board of supervisors, and Pu Chan, an engineer of the Daguan County Bamboo Industry Development Center, was elected as the secretary-general. Professor Dong Wenyuan, the newly elected chairman of the board of directors, said in his statement that the service station will promote academic exchanges, talent training and industrial cooperation of mixed bamboo from three aspects: technical services, strengthening exchanges and win-win cooperation, and inject new vitality into the development of mixed bamboo industry in Wumeng Mountain.
On behalf of the Bamboo Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, Chairman Lan Xiaoguang expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Industry Service Station, and hoped that the service station would strengthen the cooperation with the Bamboo Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society and the Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Production and Scientific Research Units, and make positive contributions to promoting the development of the mixed bamboo industry in Southwest China.
In order to better promote the development of Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Industry Service Station, the first meeting of the first council chaired by Professor Dong Wenyuan, chairman of the board of directors, was held subsequently. At the meeting, the members of the board of directors conducted full exchanges and discussions on the bamboo and bamboo industry and the role of the service station, and further clarified the work direction of the service station.
Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, which are located in the Wumeng Mountains, are important production areas of mixed bamboos such as bamboo and square bamboo in the mainland, and the development of bamboo industry has achieved remarkable results. Wumeng Mountain Mixed Bamboo Industry Service Station is awarded by the Bamboo Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, designated Daguan, based on the Wumeng Mountains, serving the southwest region, through the establishment of a joint innovation platform for production, education and research, to provide advice for the development of the mixed bamboo industry, help solve key technical problems, and promote the promotion and application of scientific and technological achievements and patented technologies.
