In recent years, PetroChina has adhered to the combination of greening and ecological protection and restoration, forestry carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, biomass energy, soil and water conservation, and slope management, vigorously promoted the specialization, scale, industrialization and public welfare of greening, and solidly fulfilled the three responsibilities of ensuring ecological security, establishing an ecological economic system and building ecological culture. 4 greening projects for the construction of green and efficient projects on production reserved land. Daqing Oilfield Ma'anshan Carbon Neutral Forest is the first carbon neutral forest of PetroChina, and since its inauguration, more than 1,600 acres of afforestation have been planted. At present, this carbon-neutral forest has built a 10,000-mu carbon-neutral ecological park relying on resources such as sightseeing parks, windbreak woodlands and nursery lands. Tarim Oilfield adheres to the principle of "developing a block, building an oasis, and supporting a blue sky", and solidly promotes the construction of "green mines". Up to now, the green area of Tarim Oilfield in Tazhong oil and gas production area and along the desert highway has exceeded 65,000 mu. Guangxi Petrochemical actively responded to the national policy of building a green factory, and was awarded the honorary title of green factory in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in July 2021. At present, the green coverage rate of Guangxi Petrochemical Plant has reached more than 40%, and the quality of the marine and atmospheric environment around the plant has been maintained.
Over the years, millions of oil people have long regarded "cherishing the earth" as a concept and an action, insisting on green production and low-carbon life, integrating environmental protection practices into daily life, and continuously contributing to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
