On April 11-13, 2024, the 2nd Academic Annual Conference of the Children's Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine was successfully held in Hefei. The conference was hosted by the Children's Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, and undertaken by the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University and the First Hospital of Peking University, with the theme of "Professional Leading Innovation and Development", more than 30 well-known domestic experts in children's rehabilitation medicine, rehabilitation nursing and intelligent rehabilitation carried out academic exchanges around the cutting-edge hotspots of children's rehabilitation medical care, and more than 500 children's rehabilitation nursing colleagues from 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government participated in the meeting.

The Children's Rehabilitation and Nursing Professional Committee should adhere to the correct direction of development, give full play to its functions, and promote the high-quality development of the children's rehabilitation nursing profession in the mainland. ● Main forum

In the keynote report session of the main forum, Professor Li Xiaojie, Honorary Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Jiamusi University and Director of the Institute of Pediatric Neurological Diseases, brought new concepts and technologies of music therapy to the lecture of "Music Therapy for Children's Rehabilitation"; Professor Tang Jiulai, Honorary Chairman of the Fourth Children's Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, shared new ideas on the progress of diagnosis and treatment of global developmental delay; Professor Jiang Zhimei, Chairman of the Children's Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association and Vice President of Jiamusi University, gave a lecture on " Li Xiuyun, chairman of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, gave a wonderful lecture on "Focusing on the Improvement of Nurses' Ability and Helping the Rapid Development of Children's Health" from four aspects: the background of children's rehabilitation development, the establishment of rehabilitation training system, the improvement of professional ability, and the expectation of professional planning and development Professor Cheng Hong of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China shared the cutting-edge knowledge of the progress and trend of intelligent children's rehabilitation, and Professor Hu Shaohua, chairman of the Child Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, started from specific cases and carried out an in-depth discussion with the participants on the "child and family-centered" care model.

In addition, nine experts and scholars from the University of Science and Technology of China, Anhui Medical University, Shanghai Children's Medical Center, Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University gave special lectures on early identification and intervention of adolescent psychological crisis, pediatric neurocritical rehabilitation nursing technology, and rehabilitation strategies for critically ill children based on full care.

At the same time, the conference set up two sub-forums: children's intensive rehabilitation nursing and youth working group academic sharing salon. In the sub-forum on pediatric intensive rehabilitation nursing, four experts in pediatric rehabilitation nursing from the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Henan Provincial Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University shared their experience in artificial airway management, rehabilitation of children's consciousness disorders, pulmonary rehabilitation of critically ill children, and the thinking and practice of overall nursing of pediatric intensive rehabilitation, which provided new ideas and guidance for the future intensive rehabilitation work. Pediatric rehabilitation nurses from various hospitals across the country demonstrated 10 excellent children's rehabilitation cases, and the atmosphere of the venue was lively and the learning atmosphere was strong. Four rehabilitation medical and nursing experts from Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, Shenyang Children's Hospital, Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and Qinghai Provincial Women and Children's Hospital combined their respective subspecialty characteristics to bring cutting-edge concepts and advanced technologies for children's rehabilitation. The 11 case reports were interactive and fascinating from various aspects such as early rehabilitation intervention of severe cases, family rehabilitation and continuous care for children with cerebral palsy, development of traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, and nursing technology innovation.

During this annual meeting, a meeting of the practice base of child rehabilitation nursing nurses was held, and Lu Fuli, head nurse of the Pediatric Neurorehabilitation Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, presided over the meeting. At the same time, a working meeting of all members of the Children's Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee and a finalization meeting of the guidelines for rehabilitation nursing of common childhood diseases were also held to further build consensus and gather joint efforts to promote the development of the professional committee to enter a new scale.
