He actively played the leading role of intellectuals, participated in the land reform work with everyone during the day, and organized the vast number of peasants to study the basic methods of land reform at night, and until late at night he still crouched at the table and wrote work records.
The high-intensity labor made Mao Anqing, who was not in good health, very tired. But he never took the initiative to tell anyone about his hard work, and when he corresponded with his family, he always reported good news and not bad news.

In 1960, a simple and joyful wedding was held in Dalian, and the bride and groom were smiling and sincerely thanked every guest who came to the scene to congratulate.
Chairman Mao, who was far away in Beijing, was busy with work, and although he remembered the wedding in his heart, he had no way to come to Dalian in person, so he could only ask someone to send a watch and a Panda brand radio to send the best wishes to the two newlyweds.
