It does not produce a drop of oil, and does not rely on large steel enterprises, but can become the only county-level China petroleum and petrochemical equipment manufacturing base in the country.

In the 80s of the 20th century, the spring tide of reform surged, and Jianhu launched the enterprise reform work in an all-round way according to the deployment of the central and provincial and municipal party committees, expanded the autonomy of the enterprise, reformed the enterprise leadership system and management system, and further released the vitality of the enterprise. In 2003, Jianhu Petroleum Equipment Industry was listed as one of the six major industrial clusters in Yancheng. In 2007, Jianhu set up an industrial development office to prepare an industrial development plan, making it one of the 100 industrial clusters to be cultivated in Jiangsu Province. In 2008, it was recognized as "China's petroleum equipment manufacturing base" by the China Petroleum Association, realizing the transformation from a "small and scattered" enterprise collection to a "refined and strong" industrial cluster.

Julonghu Machinery, formerly known as an enterprise engaged in the production of special steel materials, has mastered the key core technology of special steel materials after more than 10 years of painstaking research and experiments. "This year, we will continue to firmly take the road of high-end materials, benchmark international and domestic first-class enterprises, actively seek cooperation with Bluestone Heavy Industry, new large-scale die forging press based on plug valve die forging, and cooperate with Consak Company of the United States to launch a new international advanced electroslag remelting furnace. In the production workshop of Jiangsu Huazhiyi Machinery Co., Ltd., more than 50 automatic surfacing welding equipment are running rapidly. Huazhiyi company has now become the largest manufacturer of nickel-based alloy and stainless steel surfacing welding in northern Jiangsu. The continuous improvement of enterprises stems from innovation-driven, digital intelligence empowerment, and in-depth integration and development. In Jianhu, more and more petroleum equipment enterprises have adopted information technology to promote the deep integration of information management, digital manufacturing and product technology, and created 29 three-star cloud enterprises and 18 four-star cloud enterprises in the province, realizing a new model of online and offline integrated development based on "Internet +".
