When many mothers wash their baby's underwear, they find that there is poop on the baby's underwear?

What is the reason for this?

There is always poop on the child's underwear, it's not that it hasn't been wiped clean, it may be that he has this disease

01. The child may have functional encapsulosis

Functional endemic, also known as non-organic encapsulosis or functional fecal incontinence. It is more common in children over 4 years of age, and may occur once or twice a month for three or four months.

There are two types of functional endecylosis: primary and secondary, primary is from infancy to childhood, and secondary is when the child has formed a good habit of controlling stool but has been unable to control it for a certain period of time.

02. What is the cause of functional endecylosis?

There is no universal cause of functional endecylosis, and it may be a single cause or a combination of multiple causes.

One is the functional disease of the nervous system, which is relatively rare. It is generally believed that this is due to damage to the pudendal nerve innervating the anal sphincter, nerve conduction is slower than normal, and the contraction of the anal sphincter does not match the actual situation.

The second is psychological factors. If your child is suddenly stimulated by strong mental stimulation or has emotional ups and downs that lead to mental trauma, the brain will issue inhibition commands to the anus, causing the child to be unable to control his stool.

In addition, if the child is under too much academic pressure, the parents and teachers are too rough in their education methods, or they encounter social difficulties, it will also cause the child to be nervous, anxious, low self-esteem, and even depressed, which will lead to the occurrence of functional encapsulosis.

The third is obesity. Obese children are low in fiber, which can easily cause dry stools. Symptoms of constipation are manifested when dry stools are difficult to pass out of the body, and long-term chronic constipation can lead to functional stool.

In a study of 80 obese children with an average age of 11 years, 12 of them had functional stool, with an incidence of 15%.

Fourth, constipation. This is the most common of all causes, with data showing that up to 79% of children have functional stool due to constipation.

If the child is constipated, the stool will remain in the rectum, and the rectum will be occupied by feces for a long time and compressed, and it will also be in a tight and stretched state, and slowly, the anal sphincter contraction consciousness will become weaker, and the child will not be able to clearly feel the urge to defecate.

Stool accumulates and hardens, blocking the rectum, and loose stools may become more and more rigid, uncontrollably draining out of the anus and leaving on your child's underwear.

In addition, there are some children with constipation, because of painful bowel movements, they will subconsciously refuse to have a bowel movement, and from time to time they will have paroxysmal stomach pain, or they will have more than a few days between bowel movements.

03.How to deal with functional encapsulosis?

If the child has functional feces, we can first observe it, find out the cause, and then take symptomatic measures according to the child's specific situation.

If it is caused by psychological reasons, it is necessary to carry out psychological counseling for the child first, give the child more patience, encourage the child more, scold the child less, reduce the child's nervousness, and let the child relax slowly.

The second is to develop good bowel habits. You can communicate well with your child, choose a suitable time each time, let your child sit on the potty for 5-10 minutes, and you can choose to do it half an hour after the meal. There will be a reflex in the stomach and colon after eating, and use this opportunity to let the child feel the urge to defecate and establish a bowel habit.

The third is to establish good eating habits. In addition to paying attention to nutrition and matching meat and vegetables in children's diet, parents and children should try to eat lightly and maintain a balanced intake. Usually children should eat more vegetables and fruits, increase vitamin intake, and also replenish sufficient water.

Finally, professional treatment is carried out. If the child is already constipated, parents should take the child to the hospital for laxative treatment. Stool softeners such as lactulose and polyethylene glycol are commonly used for laxatives. Of course, if the child's constipation has already occurred and there are hard stools trapped in the rectum, the doctor will recommend using Kaiserol to empty it.

If the child finds stool on his pants, it needs to be paid attention to, consider the possibility of functional feces, and don't simply think that it is just not clean.

Of course, functional feces are not a flood beast, parents should not be too anxious, just follow the doctor's advice to deal with it.
