According to the data, in 2023, more than 20 Middle Eastern capitals will invest in Chinese assets, covering many popular sectors such as new energy vehicles, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and steel, such as: Saudi Aramco has strategically invested 24.6 billion yuan in a 10% stake in Rongsheng Petrochemical, and CYVN, an investment institution under Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, has invested 2.2 billion US dollars in NIO.
At the same time, a series of Chinese companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei, TCL Zhonghuan, Sungrow, and JinkoSolar have also taken root in the Middle East.
In the eyes of the industry, Middle East capital is looking for industrial investment and a more far-sighted industrial layout. The analysis predicts that by 2030, the total investment capital of Middle East sovereign wealth funds will jump to 10 trillion US dollars, and more than 10% of the capital will be invested in Chinese assets.
Focusing on the Middle East market, especially new opportunities, new trends and new cooperation in the fields of new energy, electric vehicles, digitalization, artificial intelligence, etc., building an exchange platform for investment, financing, innovation and development, and promoting more bilateral and multilateral cooperation, China Energy News and AIM Global Foundation will co-host the Middle East Energy Investment Forum in Beijing on May 31, 2024.
