Nowadays, the melon farmers in the watermelon base are grabbing the agricultural time to plant watermelon seedlings, which is a busy scene. On April 17, the fire propagandists of southwest Guizhou walked into Jiutou Village, Tunjiao Town, Xingren City to carry out a fire safety "knock action" and explain fire safety knowledge face-to-face.
In Jiutou Village, there is a long history of planting watermelons, and more than 600 acres of watermelon bases, rows of greenhouses are arranged in the fields. At present, the large-scale development of planting in the village has laid an industrial foundation for rural revitalization and also driven the employment of surrounding villagers.
With the continuous expansion of sales channels, the villagers have carried out online live broadcasts from multiple links such as seedling transplanting, soil cultivation, watering, management and maintenance, etc., and the fire electricity consumption has increased, and the fire safety hazards cannot be ignored.
"Sister, look at this plug-in line, you can't connect it privately, the greenhouse is flammable, and the consequences are unimaginable in the event of a fire. Sister Zhang, a villager, conducts live broadcasts at the watermelon base every day, recording and explaining the high-quality watermelons in the watermelon base of Jiutou Village in the way of live broadcast. From the sowing of watermelon seedlings, management and protection to the harvesting of ripe watermelons, watermelon planting not only supports the "sweet" hope of industrial prosperity, but also drives the people in nearby villages to increase their income.
Outside the greenhouse, the fire propagandist found that there was a lot of straw accumulation, although the farmers had the awareness of returning straw to the field, but most of them wanted to "save up" and then concentrate on processing, resulting in excessive straw accumulation and potential fire risks. The left-behind people in rural areas are mainly the elderly and children, with weak safety awareness and insufficient coping ability, and often move near the storage yard, and their smoking and playing with fire will increase the risk of fire.
Fire propagandists go door-to-door to carry out "knocking action" and "face to face" to explain the common fire safety hazards in agricultural production, how to save themselves in the fire, how to call 119 fire alarm telephone, and distribute fire safety reading materials, so as to truly bring fire safety knowledge to thousands of households. The "knock on the door" went into more than 30 people's homes, distributed more than 100 fire safety publicity materials, and posted 12 fire safety publicity posters.
In the next step, fire propagandists will continue to carry out fire safety publicity activities, help rural revitalization with practical actions, and take multiple measures to protect rural fire safety.
