The moderator asked questions about what aspects should be paid attention to in the creation of works with realistic themes, and the current situation of Qujing's literary circle. Duan Ping fully affirmed the achievements made in Qujing's literary circles and encouraged Qujing's writers. Duan Ping said that Qujing has a unique cultural origin, and the forms of literary creation are rich and diverse, and the themes are wide; every literature lover should stick to his own field and cherish his own literary dreams, and reading a large number of classic literary works is the cornerstone of writing, and writing must be resilient, and he must not give up when he encounters difficulties or bottlenecks, just like "Protecting the Country" has gone through 20 years from its creation to meeting readers, which shows the importance of perseverance.
Duan Ping said that there is a trade-off between the creation of realistic themes and the creation of pure novels. You can't just write fiction novels, and you should let people see the light and faith in works with realistic themes. For the control of realistic themes, the expression of ideas must be in place, and excellent works should be written with limited themes.
The exchange activity came to an end, and the members of the Zhuyuan Literature Society performed a melodrama in the chapter of "Protecting the Country". When a classic work is presented by actors on stage, it seems to travel through time and space and recreate history. The short melodrama perfectly presents Tang Jiyao's ideal ambition of "willing to eliminate the suffering of the people in the world and plant free flowers all over the country", as well as the style of a general who gave up his small family to take care of everyone, showing Tang Jiyao's strong and colorful strokes left in modern Chinese history.
Finally, the literature lovers on the scene asked Duan Ping about the problems encountered in writing and their own creative direction, and Duan Ping patiently answered everyone's questions, and emphasized that writers must have their own principles and persistence, and in the context of the big era, they can also create wonderful works by focusing on small and writing niche characters.
