On April 22nd, the "Wind and Rain, Poetic Journey - Liang Ping's Poetry Collection "A Rainbow of Smoke and Rain" New Book Sharing Meeting" was held in Alai Study. Writer A Lai, poet Na Ye, poet Xiang Yixian, professor Zhou Weidong of Sichuan University, professor Wang Xuedong of Xihua University, and Zhou Yi, editor in charge of "A Rain of Smoke" from Sichuan Literature and Art Publishing House, together with poet Liang Ping, under the auspices of poet Xiong Yan, carried out in-depth exchanges and sharing on the writing of "A Rain of Smoke". They talked about the middle-aged changes in writing, continuous writing, the relationship between human geography and poetry, the contemporaneity of language, and how to broaden the horizons and patterns of writing.

In March 2024, Liang Ping's latest poetry collection "A Rainbow of Smoke and Rain" was launched by Sichuan Literature and Art Publishing House. The book contains more than 100 modern poems by Liang Ping in recent years, including two small poems, "New Notes on the Book of Water: Jialing River" and "Shu Daoci". From "Family Tree" in 2017, "Time Notes" in 2020 to "A Rain of Smoke" in 2024, Liang Ping's poetic geography has both changes and continuity in these three poetry collections, forming its own unique "poetic geography".

Alai: The direction of human geography in Liang Ping's poetry is well worth exploring
As an early poet who later successfully transformed into a novel, Ah Lai first reviewed and sorted out the changes in the context of his poetry writing that he had learned from his interactions with Liang Ping in the past few decades, and extended to talk about the contribution of the poet Du Fu's works to the shaping of Chengdu's human geography and aesthetics. For the writing in "A Rainbow of Smoke and Rain", Ah said, "I think it is very good to write "Water Jing New Note: Jialing River" and "Shu Daoci", these geographical and humanistic series of works. Especially in the expansion of the spiritual dimension of the subject matter, it is a good path that is worth continuing to explore. As a poet born in the 50s of the last century, Liang Ping's writing is still vigorous. In Xiang Yixian's view, this state of writing is a kind of "continuous writing": "Unlike adolescent writing, 'continuous writing' is not written by natural passion and the energy of adolescence, but a mature state with continuity." This is a more difficult state to achieve. Zhou Weidong and Wang Xuedong conducted in-depth analysis of Liang Ping's poetry creation from the perspective of professional theory. Zhou Yi is the editor-in-charge of Liang Ping's two poetry collections, "Family Tree" and "A Rain of Smoke", and has a deep feeling for Liang Ping's poetry style, "Broad and calm, in-depth and simple. He writes something profound, but the language is not hard. Very readable. Mr. Liang is not only a poet, but also an excellent literary editor. Liang Ping's poems can see geography, humanity, and history, which is especially evident in the new poetry collection "A Rainbow of Smoke and Rain". The Lu Xun Literature Award winner, poet Na Ye, first praised "A Rain of Smoke" in her speech, "It is very beautiful, the cover design style is very fresh, and the content is very consistent with the form." She went on to mention that when reading a poem or a poem, "what we want to know most is: what is the author paying attention to, and in what way? Mr. Liang Ping's poetry collection can be described as a poet's 'spiritual geography', a literary spirit related to and beyond the region, and a poetic sublimation of physical geography and human geography." There are many more sentences like this in the book, which suddenly rise from the ground, and meet my expectations as a reader. “
As a poet, Na Ye also noticed that Liang Ping in this collection of poems, "The handling and selection of details are very exquisite, touchable, and have a heart-to-heart understanding of the sound outside the strings." This is the foundation of a good poet. ”
Na Ye also made a special analysis of the long poem "Shu Daoci" included in the poetry collection and aroused many people's interpretation and resonance, "This poem reads with a strong sense of substitution. To write a long poem well, whether you can write a 'sense of substitution' plays a decisive role. The technical support of this poem is just right, so that the whole poem is imaginative and relaxed, and there is no lack of interest, passion and very restraint, it is really a 'stride meteor' rather than a 'stumbling'. He writes imaginatively, relaxedly, and the whole book is full of energy, which seems to be held in his hands, and there are no stumbles in the middle, which is not easy to achieve. Since the 80s of the 20th century, Liang Ping has been writing poems at the same time, and has been an editor of literary journals at the same time: "Red Rock" for 3 years, "Stars" for 15 years, and "Young Writers" and "Cottage" for 8 years. "There are countless faces and words that have passed in the past half century, and although I have experience, I dare not be self-righteous. After so many years, I can't help myself, and I have too much time to do things and squeeze essays. The older I get, the more I feel that I should write a debt or settle it with a pen, and "A Rainbow of Smoke and Rain" is a collection of new poems I have written in the past two or three years, and it is the most authentic and holistic presentation of my creation in recent years. It's also a collection of poems that I value very much. Liang Ping said, "Among them is about the roots of writing, about me in poetry, about narrative and lyricism, about history and reality." ”
A person's writing is closely related to his upbringing. At the sharing session, Liang Ping talked about his life experience, "People of my age, I have a very different cultural nutrition from young people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. I have been writing poetry for a long time, and it has been nearly half a century since I started writing poetry in the mid-to-late seventies of the last century. I used to be an educated youth in the Wuli Eight Team of Jiangjin Langshan Commune, and the place where I lived was the production team's farm tool storage room, an earthen thatched house, and in a corner of the storage room, the production team found someone to cut down two trees and cut off the branches, the trunk pierced through the earthen wall, nailed wooden strips, piled a large pile of straw on a mat, and then spread a straw mat, that is my bed and my home. Our farm work was basically to open mountains and build terraces, and at the end of the day, I didn't want to move when I lay in bed, so much so that I often think of the soft straw bed when I lie on the soft Simmons bed. At that time, there was no electricity in the countryside, and a kerosene lamp was reluctant to turn the wick on, and kerosene was also very expensive. Reading is even more of a luxury. There were only a few books I brought to the countryside, and three of them left a deep impression on memories: one was "Xinhua Dictionary", one was "The Ballad of the Red Flag" edited by Guo Moruo, the other was "Severe Winter: The Red Nose" by the Russian writer and poet Nekrasov, and there was a mimeographed "Wanrong Ci" by Wu Fangji, a famous Jiangjin celebrity. "Severe Winter: A Red Nose" is a long poem in which Nekrasov sees the red-colored Caucasus Mountains, which are actually the red noses of the harsh winter, and it feels so wonderful. Then there is Wu Fangji's half-literate and half-white "Wanrong Ci", until now I still remember 'where is the Americas, stay a lifetime of turbulence, not as good as the jade rabbit dog guarding the door', Wanrong is alive with a Wangfu stone. ”
Speaking of this, Liang Ping was very emotional, "The reason why I look back on these is that I want to say that everyone's life is different. That experience had a big impact on me. When I first started writing, there were many genres of poetry at that time, but I didn't participate in or fit into a certain genre. I live in a corner and write my own life, my own life experience and survival perceptions. Speaking of which, I am very grateful to Wang Chaoqing and Wang Erbei, two poets from the supplement department of Sichuan Daily at that time, who made a special trip from Chengdu to Jiangjin to see me, and they went to the Propaganda Department of the county party committee to explain their intentions, and the Propaganda Department notified the commune, and the loudspeaker at the commune's capital construction site informed me, and I received great encouragement. Liang Ping said, "There is an inherent estrangement and even hostility between people, between people and nature, and between people and society. This rooted writing has given me a clear path to write, that is, to strive to reduce such estrangement and hostility, and to achieve the greatest reconciliation with the imbalance between people, nature, and society. The title of the book, "A Rain of Smoke" comes from "A Rain of Smoke and Rain" in Su Dongpo's "Fixing the Storm". Taking this concept as the title of a new poetry collection, Liang Ping understands it this way, "Su Dongpo's life was exiled and displaced. He met the wind and the rain, but how did his open-mindedness, his optimism, and his ordinary heart come about? I don't think it was achieved overnight, and there was also a psychological process of self-adjustment. ”
It has been 23 years since he came to Chengdu from Chongqing in 2001 to work and live. These two cities also permeated his poetic writing. The compilation of "A Rainbow of Smoke and Rain", starting and ending with the Jialing River and Shu Dao, has a profound meaning about the duet of Chongqing and Chengdu. When someone asked which of these two cities was his spiritual hometown, Liang Ping's answer was clear, "In the middle of my spiritual wall, these two cities are actually one." In fact, it was originally a family. It is possible to make these two cities my spiritual hometown. ”
When a poetry writer asked Liang Ping for advice on how to broaden his horizons and pattern of writing, Liang Ping replied, "This is a big question. First of all, I think there are two things that must be done, one is to read more and try to have as much knowledge and cultural reserve as possible. The other is to be creative in every moment of your writing. If you don't have the creativity, I think it's not advisable to follow what others write, it's ineffective writing. Personally, after the new era, the whole concept has become clearer and clearer, and I have become more and more clear about my writing path, what to write and how to write.
