In order to establish the green environmental protection concept of "respecting nature and protecting nature", convey the life concept of "protecting the earth and low-carbon life", and develop the good habit of "saving resources and protecting the environment", on the afternoon of April 21, the New Era Civilization Practice Station of Jiangnan Community of Xiaohuashan Street and the Yu'an District Culture and Tourism Bureau organized the children in the area to carry out the theme activity of "Draw Your Love and Go Home with Environmental Protection 'Bags'" and "4.22 World Earth Day" in Jiangnan Book Society.
At the beginning of the activity, the volunteers of the practice station popularized the relevant knowledge of the earth to the children, described the beautiful and magical earth in vivid language, played a vivid and interesting promotional video of the World Earth Day, and introduced the sources of the World Earth Day and "global warming", "biodiversity loss", "water shortage and water crisis", "land desertification" and "air pollution and air quality decline" and other environmental issues, which stimulated the children's awareness of environmental protection, so that children can start from the small things in life, such as garbage classification, green travel, reducing the use of plastic tableware, often carrying environmental protection bags when going out, saving water and electricity, etc. In order to let the children have a deeper understanding of the magnificence and fragility of the earth, the volunteers of Jiangnan Books promoted reading and recommended a popular science book "Revealing the Earth", which aroused the children's strong interest.
Subsequently, the volunteers led the children to doodle burlap bags by themselves, and the children were ingenious, using colorful colors to give full play to their imagination and draw the beautiful earth in their hearts: the air on the earth is fresh, the river water is clear, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant, all kinds of creatures live in harmony, everyone loves Mother Earth, Mother Earth smiles every day, and the graffiti works with distinctive personalities show their incomparable love and care for the earth.
After the event, the children showed their works, their faces were filled with happy smiles, and they all said that they would take home the low-carbon environmental protection knowledge and life concept they learned in the activity, and actively advocate that their families and people around them love the earth together!
The volunteers were good at guiding and effectively improving their awareness of the earth, enhancing their awareness of environmental protection and responsibility; hand-painted environmental protection bags allowed the children to learn civilization, advocate civilization, pass on green dreams, and build a green home together.
