This summer, Professor Emily, Associate Lecturer in Illustration and Visual Media (IVM) at the London School of Communication and Communication, will once again lead a 7-day Art and Design Masterclass for high school students.

UAL professor Emily and ARTSLINK Pure Art Illustration Instructor have joined forces to complement each other in online and offline teaching, taking you to experience the rocket-accelerated experience of preparing for a portfolio project.
“The Brief
Gaze out the window - build a visual world
First, you'll look out the window and think about what you'll see. By observing the world you live in, you will use your imagination to create. Next, you will identify a social issue that will provide background information for your project. Through a series of guided workshops, you will create a visual world, or part of it. Works can be in any form, including sculpture, installation, moving image, painting, and painting.
This workshop will enhance your personal and professional production skills. You'll develop skills in observational painting, critical engagement, contextualisation, practice-led research and material exploration.
WINDOW GAZING, WORLD SHAPING: A WORKSHOP IN WORLDBUILDING
You will start by looking out the window and considering what you can see. From observingthe world you do live in, you will be asked to imagine the world you could live in. Next youwill identify a social issue to contextualise your project. Through a series of guided workshops, you will create an output visualising your proposed world, or a part of it. This output can be anything including sculpture, installation, moving image, drawing and painting.
This workshop will advance your personal and professional standards of making. You will build skills in observational drawing, critical engagement, contextualisation, practice-led research and material exploration.
This is an infinitely empowering overseas professor training camp, and the trainees will try to "gaze out the window - build a visual world" under the leadership of Professor Emily & ARTSLINK Zero Invasive Pure Art Illustration Instructors.
Over the course of 7 days, you will follow the advice and tips given by the professor to construct a portfolio project that can be extended through a variety of design methods. Under the guidance of the famous teacher, the students have received the following improvements and gains:
1- Portfolio projects that can be extended in the future
· Under the joint guidance of overseas professors and Chinese tutors, we will build and improve art and design projects with personal characteristics step by step.
· The finished product can be used as a portfolio project that can be extended in the future.
2- Systematic teaching in prestigious schools
· While learning valuable knowledge, you will also feel the teaching methods of the famous school in advance.
· Understand the requirements and judging criteria of famous schools such as Lunyi for the application works.
