April 22 this year is the 55th Earth Day, and the theme of the event is "Global War Plastic". On April 20, the volunteer service team of the civil river chief of the Shishan section of the main stream of the Xijiang River and the Foshan waterway and the 602 class of Luocun Central Primary School jointly carried out graffiti activities to guide residents to pay attention to, attach importance to and protect the ecological environment, advocate a simple, moderate, green and low-carbon lifestyle, and call on citizens to participate in environmental protection actions such as river protection to jointly protect the beautiful home of the earth.
During the event, Chen Shaoying, the chief of the Shishan section of the Xijiang River and the main stream of the Xijiang River and the Foshan Waterway, introduced the origin and significance of Earth Day to the primary school students, and showed the importance and urgency of water resources protection and river ecological maintenance through examples, improved the students' awareness of environmental protection, and guided the students to contribute to the protection of the earth's homeland through practical actions.
